In reality, it didn’t live up to its premium price tag. Initial Setup & 5 GHz Headaches DFS Channel Quirk: To avoid interference, ASUS locks many of its 5 GHz channels behind a DFS (radar-safe) scan. In theory, this is great—but in practice, the AX6000’s 5 GHz SSID simply didn’t appear for me. Even after waiting beyond ASUS’s recommended “scan window,” the network never popped up. TP-LINK Simplicity: The AX53 let me pick any 5 GHz channel straight away, no delays, no mysteries. I was online in seconds. Throughput & Range Despite the AX6000’s advertised 4×4 MU-MIMO, my real-world tests told a different story. In my office nook: ASUS TUF AX6000 – 96 Mbps down / 112 Mbps up TP-LINK AX53 – 150 Mbps down / 112 Mbps up Coverage: The AX6000 wasn’t noticeably better at punching through walls or covering dead zones. In some fringe spots, it actually performed worse. Feature Overload vs. Practicality ASUS’s suite includes gaming acceleration, multiple VPN options, detailed traffic logs, and robust parental controls. Yet if the basic 5 GHz network refuses to broadcast, all those bells and whistles are moot. The AX53’s pared-back feature set lacks fine-tuning, but it nails the essentials: rock-solid signal, speedy throughput, and super-simple configuration. Bottom Line At a price point well above most home routers, the TUF GAMING AX6000 underdelivers where it counts—in reliable coverage, stable 5 GHz operation, and real-world speed. For hassle-free performance that routinely outpaces it, the TP-LINK AX53 remains my go-to recommendation, especially considering the price.

I've ordered two of these, the first one died unfortunately after two or three days, but it was so great when it worked I tried it again and bought another. Second one works flawlessly and has great reception via the WiFi and just works great via the gaming port via LAN straight to the PC. Great speeds, product and price. Would buy it again.
