Q: i have purchased this phone plenty loud enough, but not enuugh tone for me. does any one know a toner i can buy that works with this phone,

If the phone is not loud enough when ringing BT do a range of plug in tone callers which are very loud, hope this is of use

Q: How do i get the flashing red light off at the top right hand side my doro 6379 amplified corded telephone after an incoming call

This has driven me crazy since recently purchasing my phone. I was unable to find the whereabouts of the on/off switch in the small manual that came with the phone. However with rather luck than judgement, I've finally found the answer. Press the downward arrow above '3' button. You will then need to use the up and down arrows on the right hand side of the phone, to show the incoming numbers that have come into your phone, these will come up one by one. You can then delete them by pressing the 'C' button, followed by 'OK'. When all are deleted, you will see in your display New 00. Magic. . . . Good Luck all

The instruction is on the set up section. Page 2 Number 11. It does work. Once you navigate the display until it shows NEWCALLERID - press ok - and ON will start flashing. Use the up/down arrows to move it to OFF and press ok. Search DORO MAGNA 4000 manual for details.

Q: would this phone work without using the mains adaptor or is the adpator just for the backlight

The phone would work without the mains adapter, but not only would the backlight not work but also the mains power is required for the amplification. The display would be difficult to read without the backlight for anyone with poor vision and anyone with hearing difficulties will need the amplification with this phone.
