Do you want to break down 4x8 sheets of wood? Because this is how you break down 4x8 sheets of wood
I don't have a huge workshop (seemingly like many of us!). So any tool I get needs to serve a purpose, and do it well.Like many of you - I was leery of the "Wen" name... not because I've heard anything bad about them - but because I'd never heard ANYTHING about them...However, after watching some Youtube reviews... and a few more after that - in truth - probably far too many! I thought I would give it a go.All the complaints about this tool seem to be very nitpicky - and not valid. One person was disapointed because they couldn't cut through a 3" piece of wood - even though it plainly says up front that it won't... Another complained that the aluminum case was plastic. It's not... it's aluminum... (also - don't eat food cooked in that guys kitchen if he can't tell plastic from metal!). Someone else complains that the adjustment knobs were plastic - sure - but it's a pretty burly plastic! In short - the complaints didn't (and still don't) add up for me.So I bought it.And I tried it out on some nice 1/4 plywood as a test run. Two words: game. changer.I've never found it so easy to break down a 4x8 sheet of plywood. The track comes in two parts - each part is more than 4' long - so whether your wanting to cut along the 4' side, or the 8' side - you have more than enough track to do it. The saw itself was easy to use. I did the initial cut on the track to adjust the track to the blade (had to research what THAT was all about - but glad I did). Then I placed a block of foam insulation under the plywood and went to town. The cut was perfect. It was clean. The blade it ships with is remarkably good! (You can get one with more teeth if you need it - but my cuts were perfect). The setup was easy, the anti-kick back mechanism took a brief second to get used to - literally a second - it just works and it's easy.I only have one regret about this saw: That I didn't buy extra wood, just to cut up and play around with... I just want to use it more!! (which I will when I re-design my shop space! 😉).Final note here... all of the junky reviews about this product that I could see, were either just plain nit-picky, or not well thought out. For many of the negative things I read, it was clear that people were deliberately trying to compare this to the more expensive options out there. SO - if you want to go out and spend two or three times the price for something that's a little bit fancier - definitely go ahead. I'm not saying I don't want a workshop filled with all yellow tools, or even white and green ones... but at a third of the cost, this does EVERYTHING I want it to - and more..... now I want to go and recklessly cut wood!!

Great buy!
Someone that does woodwork invented this! This works great! Clamps under saw. No clamps in the way when cutting. Rubber seal is designed to be cut on the first pass to set blade placement so set up is dead on!

Honestly, it’s a good saw
I have been woodworking for decades and have always wanted a track saw, but didn’t want to spend green and black money. This is a great saw. It takes some time learning the dials, OK. I recommend this saw for someone who is going to need it on occasion. Works great and accurate. Get the longer tracks and get two. The clamps are very handy. I had to file down part of the tool so it would fit in the track but not a big deal.

Budget Track Saw
Not sure how much I would use a track saw and I didn't want to spend alot on one. I have a few other Wen products so I thought I would give it a try. This has worked for my needs. It has decent power, easy to setup and use.

Great For Beginners and Outstanding Value
This is an awesome product that worked way better than I expected. The depth-stop is a little “wobbly”, but accurate. It is great for a beginner or for someone who is breaking down plywood or OSB occasionally.I did purchase a cover for the blade change port and it improved the dust collection by a significant amount.All-in-all, I would say this is one of the better bang for your buck options and WEN has definitely earned a place in my garage workshop. It also doesn’t hurt that it comes with a good quality and accurate track as well as track clamps. Quite literally can’t beat it!

Perfect Intro Into the Track Saw Field
Extremely easy to use. Very accurate and clean cuts(I attached a 60T blade). Has all the features of the $400-$600 track saws at an entry point price that is affordable to the average woodworker. Having a track saw allows you to step up your game, especially if you aren't graced with a commercial table saw and out feed table, by making long, straight cuts. This saw actually feels very well balanced as you slide it across the track. If I am cutting a long piece, I attach the clamps to each side which ensures that the track doesn't shift even a millimeter on you. Overall, I am impressed and look forward to getting my money's worth out of this saw.

Good track saw, great price!
I see a lot of YouTube videos of people comparing this saw to the festool, I think that's an unfair comparison. This saw works very well and the price can't be beat. When using it with the 24 tooth blade I did notice a little splintering so I've upgraded the blade to the 48 tooth and it works much better. I've seen people on YouTube complain that the track moves around too much, I haven't noticed that but I have the clamps if needed. I also purchased some more friction tape to put on the bottom because the track has locations for two more rolls of tape. I would suggest that instead of buying this saw with the power Tech track, I would buy it with the wind track and add more friction tape to the bottom because the friction tape is only 20 bucks. I would say the price of this package can't be beat!

Better than expected
I looked at many other brands and reviews but ultimately decided I just couldn’t justify a $1,200 track saw. I was pleasantly surprised by this saw. I replaced the blade because I had 2” oak to cut and wanted a make sure I got good clean cuts. It works very well, no bogging down and good clean cuts that are near perfect. No slop in the track at all and I honestly couldn’t be happier. I was able to join 60” long boards with no gaps at all for perfect joints. I won’t use it every day or even every week but when I do I trust it will do a great job. For the price you can’t do any better.
