Been using this supplement for years, and it has kept my bones in very good condition.

My wife has osteopenia which is the precursor for osteoporosis. She is consuming two of these capsules per day in addition to her prescribed drugs. I have been doing the same only because of my similar age. DO NOT use ANY nutrient in place of prescribed drugs. Capsules of one gram or more become difficult to swallow. We have not had any problem with 750 mg, especially in a smooth gelatin capsule. Also because of the capsule, the product has no flavor. My experience with magnesium citrate suggests that the powder within the capsule would be rather sour. There has been some debate about whether other minerals from the second column in the periodic table or those that release two electrons when in solution assist in calcium deposition. We know that is true for magnesium and zinc which are essential for other reasons. There ARE studies supporting this hypothesis BUT every other nutrient must be in place and one MUST be exercising to stress bones. DO NOT worry about eating enough calcium. Neither calcium alone nor vitamin D has been shown to prevent osteoporosis. Most people absorb too much calcium after consuming enough vitamin D to support immunity. There is some concern regarding the excess deposition of calcium in blood vessels raising the possibility that strontium might accelerate the process. That has not been proven for strontium. We already know that vitamin K2, often packaged along with vitamin D seems to reduce such deposition.

Doctor said I had Osteoporosis and wanted me to take Phosomax. I read terrible things about it destroying people's esophagus and I already have problems with mine, so I told her I wanted to try and fix it with something natural first. She said I will give you one year. If it isn't better then I want you to promise me you will take the phosomax. I promised and ordered some Strontium. I was a little bit afraid of it at first, so I only took half the recommended dose. One year later the doctor ordered another bone scan. A few days later she called me and said, "I don't know what you are doing, but it's working. I'm downgrading you from osteoporosis to osteopenia and keep taking whatever you've been taking!" With that good news I began to take the full recommended dose. Haven't had another bone scan yet. But I can tell my body loves this stuff. If I skip it, my hip hurts and my legs cramp like they always did before I started taking it.

I had Osteoporosis, when I was advised to take to help my condition I purchased, the next time I went in for Dexa scan It had changed to Osteopenia!!!! The tech doing my scan said " I don't know what your doing, but keep doing It, your number are Good" I do walk 3 times a week and eat yogurt as well as take calcium Everyday, the combo does help as I am 75.
