This is a really beautiful set. Unique, yet traditional tiles. I was a bit worried about the case feeling/looking cheap, but the tweed fabric is lovely. I’m very happy with this purchase.

LOVE my set!! I’ve been playing American Mahjong for years and was finally ready to purchase my own set. I looked forever - trying to get the best balance of quality, design/look and price - AND from a reputable manufacturer. This set checked all the boxes. I haven’t had any issues with my set, but I read several comments during my research that Blue Mountain has great customer service. This gave me comfort when making a more expensive purchase. This set came with wooden pushers. I didn’t know if I’d like them b/c I had only ever played with acrylic pushers - but I am obsessed! And everyone I play with now wants to get themselves wooden pushers. They’re elegant and great quality. I play weekly with my friends and I’m so happy to have my own set for when I host! My 10 year old wants a set too - I saw that Blue Mountain has a kids version, I’ll be looking into it for sure as I’m now a Blue Mountain fan! Oh, the carry bag (along with the bags for the tiles) are a beautiful colored fabric and seems to be very well made! Lastly, this set did NOT have any weird odors (thank goodness)! I had read so many reviews from other companies that said their sets came with weird chemical smells - this had none of that, thank goodness!

We love this set! The tiles are beautifully designed with vibrant colors, are easy to read, and have a high quality weight to them. The well made organizing case makes it easy to transport.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out a mahjong set that, overall, was fantastic. The set was well-made, with sturdy tiles and a beautiful design that was both pleasing to the eye and easy to handle. The pieces were also easy to shuffle and manipulate during gameplay, which made for a more enjoyable overall experience. Unfortunately, one of the only flaws with this set was that some of the symbols were not easy for beginners to understand. Specifically, the flowers and 1 of bamboo were hard to recognize, which could cause confusion during gameplay. This was particularly frustrating for new players who were still learning the ropes of the game. Despite this flaw, I still believe that this mahjong set is a great choice for anyone who is looking for a high-quality, durable set that will last for years to come. It would be especially ideal for more experienced players who are already familiar with the symbols and can easily identify them during gameplay. Overall, while the lack of clarity in some of the symbols is definitely a drawback, it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the set. If you're a seasoned mahjong player looking for a new set to add to your collection, or if you're willing to put in a bit of extra effort to learn the more difficult symbols, I would definitely recommend giving this set a try.

Just opened this beautiful set. Nice feel to the tiles. The pattern is in the middle, you look through the tile for the pattern. Bag is pretty, racks are clear and seem sturdy. Tile bags are on the small side, I divided up the tiles so there are a comfortable number in each of the 3 small bags.

Beautiful mahjong set. The bag it came with is a cery well made cloth like material. Comes with a strap too! My friend owns a set with different design and we travel with it everywhere because it’s not as heavy as the full size tiles. I also love the traditional characters on this set compared to those modern ones. I used to play Chinese mahjong with my uncles and aunts. Now I am learning American mah jong. Both are fun to play.

Beautiful pieces. Case is a little too large. Should be more snug. The pushers sometimes fall off the magnets

This set comes with a strong, easy to carry case for a set that weighs almost 3kg. The tiles feel lovely in the hand and have clear images with the numbers in English that are missing on many of the Chinese sets. My only complaint is that two of the wooden racks are warped, so the pushers dont align and the magnets do not meet. A small issue, but this set is too expensive to have damaged racks. It would take too long to return and no guarantee that the next ones would be better. Replacement racks from the Yellow Mountain company are also very expensive for what they are.
