Storage case is Awesome
My nephew loves dinosaurs so I thought this is great because of the case. And I was right. It came with a lot of different size dinosaurs. I didn't give him the smaller ones just the larger so he could put them away easily. It teaches him responsibility and maintenance of his fun toys. Well worth the price and highly recommended. My nephew turned 2 btw.

I love this and the idea behind it. Embrace your inner artist!
***PLEASE NOTE: Please don't assume that you will get this quality from what comes in the box I have decades of experience painting models and minis.***I saw this and I had to snag it. I love things like this. I love seeing what I can do to make it as realistic as possible in a scaled down way. The amount of detail that is in these figures are amazing. And if you are into painting minis this kit will not disappoint you, and can be a good launching point learning the skills to paint minis. This is not just for small kids I am a grown adult having a blast with them.I would gift this to friends who love this kind of stuff, and to my friends kids who want to embrace their inner artist. This is a valuable learning tool for people of all ages. With a little time and effort you can get something like this too.Now for the things I didn't like. I had to do a lot of prep because of the amount of flashing from the molds they used to make these. I am assuming this plastic is TPE with a heavy durometer to make it more stiff. First figure I tried to paint I wanted to use a basic primer layer and using spray paint primer for plastics did not cure. I let it dry for 3 days straight and it still had a sticky touch to it. Now acrylic paint works fine on it. I am using cheap acrylic paint which is the same paints in the photo. They adhere fine to the plastic. Being that I am assuming this is TPE rubber I am using talcum powder when the paint is cured to remove the shine.I hope the seller shows these pictures to the person who sculpted these figures. You are a great artist. And I hope my art makes you happy knowing it is bringing an old fart like me joy.

Smaller than the picture shows.
The head is flimsy and doesn’t stay shut to carry the little dinosaurs, The picture implies it is a big Dino head, when it is actually smaller. Don’t recommend.

Mileage will wildly vary. 3.5 stars
I've been passively watching for paintable figurines; I enjoy airbrushing them, but I am not a miniatures fan, preferring figurines of actual animals rather than fictional creatures. Feels weird to say that, seeing as I'm also a video gamer, but I digress!I saw these and just had to try them. And yes, I airbrushed them. So, I can't comment on the included paints and paintbrushes, but my experience is similar to that of other reviewers that is independent of the medium used to color these. What do I mean? These dinosaur models are NOT ready to paint. Their outer surfaces are just too slippery for paint to stick at all. I noticed one reviewer found this out in an alarming manner when their child put one of these into their mouth, and the paint came off. So, regardless of whether you use the included paint, or your own, of any quality, you won't get paint to stick to these very easily. On their own, I was able to basically "drape" some decent acrylic airbrush paint with my airbrush onto one of the dinos in this kit by layering numerous thin coats onto the dino. And, after a day of drying (acrylic airbrush paint only takes minutes to dry!), I was able to easily rub the paint off with my fingertips. No fingernail or sharp edge or abrasive needed. The paint literally wiped off.You might think "Great! Then kids can paint the dinos, then wipe them off and paint them again later!" Yes, they could... but if you want to fully paint these dinosaurs, you will need to handle them. As soon as you touch even dried paint, it's going to come off on your fingers. Kids who enjoy messes will gladly rub their paint-stained hands on things, and kids that want to have a showable display piece that they personally painted will be frustrated.Another reviewer mentioned sanding the dinos for better paint adhesion. Given that all of the dinos have pretty deep detail, such as very scaly skin, sanding isn't going to be very efficacious. This is where my crazy store of airbrush mediums saved the day:I airbrushed primer onto all of these dinos, and that did the trick! (The primer I used was Vallejo acrylic polyurethane primer in black and white colors, if you want to know.)The primer stuck very nicely to all of these dinos, and after drying, paint stuck to them nicely. I've airbrushed enamel paints, acrylic paints of a few different types, gloss topcoats and gloss topcoat with mica powder mixed in. Every single paint I've sprayed onto these dinos has stuck well. I mentioned the exact primer I used above, but I would imagine just about any spray can or brushed primer advertised to stick to plastic will stick to these dinosaurs! So, if you're looking at this kit for yourself or someone who is handy, and knows painting nuances such as applying primer, these little dinos are a fun treat! These dinos have been a good exercise in airbrush control for me; as the finer detailed parts of them require more careful paint application. If care isn't taken, I've found out the hard way that paint will easily pool up and ruin the work. But, this is advertised for kids, and while on the surface (pun intended!) this looks like a fun, giftable kit, again, I can see a number of kids either causing trouble or getting frustrated by these dinos' inability to be painted right out of the box.I was a dinosaur nerd as a child, and I would've been really angry had I gotten something like this kit as a gift; I would have wanted to paint them to proudly display and would have been very frustrated when paint wouldn't stick to them. I guess I'm just growing old instead of growing up- I have a few of my painted dinosaurs livening up my desk at work! So, I would either not give this as a gift as-is to a kid; I'd have the dinos sprayed with primer and let dry properly before handing them over to kid(s) to paint them. And so, this leads me back to my review title. Your mileage with these dinosaur models is going to vary depending on what you do with them. Take them out of the box and just start smearing paint on, and you won't end up with painted dinosaur models. Take measures to ensure paint sticks to them, and you'll have a unique set of models to customize, for any reasonable age range and any experience level!

Super fun set with a great themed carrying case!
What a great set for dino lovers! The giant dino head has a convenient carrying strap & there is a 'bone' latch on the mouth which is so cute! Turn the bone to unlatch & the mouth opens to reveal all the smaller dinos & accessories!!!Want to get the kids to pick up the toys quickly? Make an eating sound (chomp/nom/burp, etc.) everytime they put a toy into the big dino head! I think the nephews had my livingroom picked up in 1.3 seconds flat! Ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but in all seriousness, I don't think they've ever picked everything up so quickly before! There was even room in the head for more things like some matchbox size cars & army men they'd also been playing with.My nephews are ambivalent about the trees & eggs, used the fence pieces as barriers to be stomped on by dinos or rammed into by vehicles, & absolutely loved the dino figures! They also liked propping the big dino head open & hiding it mostly under cushions/pillows/blanket so it was a "cave"...a "cave" that CHOMPed on anything that ventured into it. I almost lost it when the 8yo CHOMPed on a car & immediately fished & flung it out of the big dino head with a 'patooy' spitting sound & told his little brother, "That's the worst tasting dino nuggie he's ever had!"The price point is on point, the dinos are great fun, & the big head carry case just makes this set!We HIGHLY recommend!

Not bad
The Dino’s are good. Slightly smaller than I thought but the big Dino head is cute. The “Handle” and bone latch are very hard to operate. That’s the reason for the 3/5.
