ROYCE UNION RTX Kids 20" Aluminum Mountain Bike, Dual Suspension, 6-Speed

This is a decent , more sturdy step up bike for a boy. Easy to assemble and looks cool for a kid with the black and lime green. Much more sturdy feeling than the $80 boys bike you get at first when their learning to ride. I would definitely recommend buying it , the price is reasonable for the quality you get.

Assembly was super easy. I would disagree with the bike being “lightweight” aluminum, although it doesn’t seem super heavy, it’s definitely not one of the lighter weight bikes. But overall I’m happy with my purchase and my daughter loves it!

This is the best value for the price out there on a kids bike. For an “aluminum” bike, with shimano gear and a kick stand, you won’t find anything like it. Get it!However, probably my own fault for not assessing the real weight the seller disclosures on the description, it is a bit heavier than I anticipated, but still a great option for its price.The set up couldn’t be easier, just attach the wheels, the gears and chain come in place already.It was a Christmas gift for my 6 1/2 yo boy and he loves it, it is a tiny bit too tall for him, but soon he will get the hang of it and it will last for a few years until having to size up.Only complain is that one of the tires keeps losing air, we are still trying to figure out if it has a puncture in it...., it hasn’t be used anywhere yet.

This is an update. The derailleur guard broke off after simply leaning the bike on its side while transporting in my mini van. Apparently the guard is designed to protect the derailleur in case of a fall but the guard is made of aluminum and the anchor points to the bike are very thin (see picture). Minor force will break it. Without it, the derailleur will certainly be damaged at some point. They should have used more heavy metal guard instead. Otherwise, all the comments below are still true.It comes in a box in pieces but handy tools are supplied. The finish on the frame is pretty and smooth. Assemble is quite easy and straight forward. After installation, the front and rear brakes were too tight which I had to loosen the cables a bit. The suspension firmness adjusts easily with the turn of the spring. 6 speed definitely is a nice perk for my 6 yo grandson not having to struggle up a hill. The Shimano 6 speed derailleur shifts smoothly. Even with aluminum frame, the bike is a bit heavy. Other than that, I think it is worth the price.

This bike was perfect for our daughter. She is 9 yrs old and about 52 inches tall. This bike is the perfect size for her to learn how to work the gears while getting used to not having rear brakes. This bike has not disappointed us.

My son loves his bike! He thinks the dual suspension is very cool, and has been using it on jumps in our yard. He claims it is a comfortable ride. The number of gears seems appropriate for the size, he gets up hills just as well as anyone. He says the seat is comfortable. Looks like a grown up bike, at a perfect size for my 8 year old (who is on the short side, but the seat is all the way down so has lots of room to grow).

I bought the bike for my grandson's birthday. It came in time however the bike's real wheel was defected. It would not spin. We wrote to Royce Union on June 30, 2020 asking them to send a replacement wheel. The company quickly responded and told us they would order a new wheel and send to us ASAP. Since then we have contacted them periodically as to the status of the wheel. It is always on backorder. The summer has gone by and our grandson has never had a chance to ride his bike. At this time we no longer have any more patience for the delay. We would like to have the money refunded so we can get another bike for our grandson. We are NOT HAPPY!!! We would appreciate someone contacting so we can resolve this.

I bought this bike for my son and h really likes it. It is a great step up from a 16” BMX style bike. The gears and suspension are nice. The shifter is easy to use and he loves.the kick-stand was very stiff and is now kind of starting to ease up a bit. The brakes were a bit touchy and required a little adjustment, no big deal. Overall, it’s a great bike.
