Julian Bowen Astoria Lamp Table - Oak Tables

This table arrived quickly and was very well packaged for transit. It is high quality, heavy and solid. What was really nice to see was the attention to detail - the table has had little feet put on the bottom of each leg so as to not mark your floor. This is perfect as we have just changed from carpet to wood flooring and I've been putting pads on all the furniture but not his one, it has already been thought through. It also polishes back up well with a little beeswax polish. It stills perfectly as a lamp table at the end of the sofa, with enough room for a lamp, tissues, phone charger and a couple of drinks.

I bought a pair of these as side tables. They’re well proportioned and well made with an attractive finish. Ver pleased.

This item arrived very well packaged, sturdy cardboard re-enforcement on all edges and corners and polystyrene over the top to prevent transit damage. Upon opening I realised that it's a fair bit lighter in colour than the product images shown, I appreciate that natural wood can have variation in shade and pattern, but this was way off. My biggest disappointment is that there was a small splinter of wood off of the table top, this isn't transit damage and was clearly packaged up like this. It's not big enough to warrant the hassle of a return, but I've received a partial refund and will buy repair wax to fill it in. I've previously bought another item in this range and it arrived in perfect condition.

This is a good sturdy table .... really good quality....heavy, well made, looks good. First one came slightly damaged in transit, despite being very well packed....free return to Amazon and quickly replaced.....replacement was fine. As per a previous review by another customer one side of the top is flush to the frame, rather than being overhanging on all 4 sides.....the 360 view doesn’t show that is misleading.....however I don’t think it looks bad as a side table to the sofa.

This review is for the astoria.Its a sturdy table ,but Im not sure its worth the full price.I feel a value between £50 and £60 is about right.Its ok but nothing special.The buyer needs to be aware that 360 degree view shows table top ,overhanging on all sides of the table,when in fact it overhangs on three sides.The fourth side is flush,which makes it ok up against a wall ,but anywhere else ,it just looks odd.

Bashed in one corner but too much hastle to complain. Wasn’t terribly expensive so you basically get what you pay for.
