Westmark 65242260 'New York' Glass Sugar Dispenser, one size

The media could not be loaded. We’ve had this over 3 years with no issues. (Watch video for tips) we like that it gives you exact portions of sugar each time making it quick and easy to use. When it gets low on sugar it will dispense less sugar each pour. To combat that we either do more pours or just fill it back up when it gets that low.

We are using for natural cane sugar. When we fill the jar we have learned that you have to center the tube on the jar then push it dow until it won’t go any farther which in our case is a little less than 1/2 way down. Then turn it like you are screwing it in and it will go all the way in and you can screw down. I wouldnt force it ! Easy after we learned process. Also when you use this thing, you can dump it completely over when pouring out and it only dispenses about 1 level teaspoon then you have to upright and basically reload for another. We like that. Again we are using large crystal natural cane sugar and have not tried with anything else.

This product dispenses a little more than one teaspoon of sugar but I can live with that. It is also difficult to reinstall the lid after filling the jar with sugar. I can also live with that. Every time I used this product, something bothered me about the way it sat on the counter top. After two weeks I realized that the glass jar was not molded properly at its base, causing it to be slightly tilted when placed on a counter top or table. It’s barely noticeable but once noticed, It sticks out like a sore thumb.

We had one of these when I was a kid, so I was very excited to find one on Amazon.Pluses; Measures the same amount of sugar every time, Fits easy in my little 7 inch long hands. Minuses; if you fill it more than 3/4 full sugar will just poor down the tube until the level falls below the bottom of the shoot cutout (this is true of all European style sugar dispensers), the metal shoot is sharp on the inside.I am delighted with the ease of use.

Problem solved: If you want consistent dispensed sugar amounts you must put the cover on straight so air can not get inside the container. Shutting off the air creates a vacuum inside the container stopping the flow of sugar. It took me a while to figure this out. Also, you can get 2 different amounts of sugar by turning the spout with the long side up towards the sky will give you 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Turn long side of spout towards the cup and will get 1 teaspoon of sugar. Hope this helps!

Well for starters it says Westmark Germany and its made in China, Technically it doesn't say made in germany however it seems dishonest. However lots of great things made in China this just isn't one of them. This thing seems to have a design flaw that while minor seems like it makes more work after all is said and done. I got this to easily dispense a small amount of sugar however the problem is if you get the smallest amount of steam or condensation inside the spout it makes the whole thing stop up. Only way to get it to work is to wash and dry it before using it again or it just gets stuck over and over. The icing on the cake of this not being a good product was they had very similar ones in my local dollar store. So not only is the design bad, I paid too much for it.

This portions out well, and as long as your sugar doesn't absorb too much moisture it comes out easily. My only issue is the lid. The threading on the lid is not properly matched with the threading on the glass. You have to really fight with it to get it to fit properly, and it still gets cross threaded easily. It's possible I just got a defective lid, but it is still an annoyance. Still usable, and I like the way it works, but the refilling is a pain.

Love this fits in your hand just right, easy to fill and dispenses just the right amount. Sugar goes in coffee mug everyday all day, it is durable and helps me start my day 😊 A must for the kitchen
