best pen ever
it's seriously awesome and worth checking out! this pencil has a special feature that keeps the lead sharp all the time. no more manually rotating the lead! it saves time and hassle, which is a big win. the pencil has a sleek design and feels comfortable to hold. its well-balanced and feels sturdy, so you know it's built to last. the lead writes smoothly and effortlessly on paper, creating neat and precise lines. its perfect for both writing and sketching. the eraser works like a charm, leaving no smudges behind. the pencil has a retractable tip, so you won't accidentally break the lead when it's not in use. great feature for longevity. - only minor drawback is that the lead capacity is a bit small. however, the continuous rotation of the lead makes up for it, and they even include extra lead refills. the Uni Kuru Toga Advance Pencil is a must-have for anyone who values smooth and precise writing or drawing. its a reliable and convenient tool that makes a noticeable difference.

Great mechanical pencil!
It writes surprisingly well. It’s light, comfortable, and smooth. The rotating lead has helped me a lot with my writing and I’m able to write better with it. Only downside is the eraser. It’s short and doesn’t last long. Other then that, I recommend it

Great rotation mechanism
The Kuru Toga Advance pencils have double the rotation speed of the regular Kuru Togas, which is really helpful when taking notes in english. This pencil is still a primarily plastic build, but it's comfortable and looks great!

Great pencil. Wish it had gel grip option
This pencil is great. It spins faster than the normal Kuru Toga, which is great for the longer strokes of the English language. I just wish it had a gel grip. Uni has a Uni Mechanical Pencil, Kuru Toga with Alpha Gel Grip, 0.5mm Lead, Black (M5858GG1P.24) , but it doesn't spin as fast.

Highly recommend
My highschool teenager loves this mechanical pencil. Especially the rotating lead. He uses it everyday and it works well. He hasn't had to put any new lead it and he's owned it for a couple months. Plus he says it's comfortable to hold since he's writing all day at school. Highly recommend.

game changer
i think the kuru toga advance in 0.5 and 0.7 are going to improve my drawing skills. i include the drawing comparisons. i first wanted to see parallel lines and clarity of very small circles and dashes . i’m very pleased. i’m not sure i did a good job with the raccoon tails but they’re ok. i am happy with the blended squares and ovals. i smoothed them with a soft firm brush/es. i will be using these for finishing details in graphite drawings and possibly color pencil drawings. it is difficult to keep a sharp point on pencils. i may update this review in the future.

Great functional pencil at a good price.
This instrument writes for a while before requiring the user to advance the lead. Smooth, a little light. The pencil is priced right for what it offers. Functions without fail. 0.5 mm leaves a narrower line and easy to see details. Lead does not break too often because the sliding barrel supports the lead. I like this pencil and recommend it to my students.

I’ve been using the Uni Kuru Toga mechanical pencil for quite some time and have even built up a small collection of them. Among all the models, the Kuru Toga Advance is the one I appreciate the most. Its design is more refined and understated, making it ideal for professional or office settings. Unlike some of the more playful versions that might stand out as student tools, the Advance has a sleek, mature look that blends perfectly into a workplace environment. What truly makes the Kuru Toga series exceptional is its rotating lead mechanism. With every stroke you write, the inner gear automatically rotates the lead slightly, ensuring that it wears down evenly. This means your writing stays consistently sharp and precise, no more broad, uneven lines caused by a dull edge. The result is a clean, uniform line quality that enhances both neatness and comfort, especially during long writing sessions. I’ve always loved the Kuru Toga for this reason, and the Advance model takes that experience one step further by combining elegant design with functionality. I bought mine for around 125 SEK about a year ago, and I’ve never regretted the purchase. It’s reliable, durable, and continues to deliver the smooth, consistent performance that made me a fan in the first place.

Great for cursive and spaced writting I wrote on my death note with it last week, and it works flawlessly, in case you're wondering, if you erase the names in first 6 minutes after writting it, the notebook won't take effect
