I so wish GoJos was still there. We try and do it at home on our Blackstone but it's never the same. I remember going when I was 8 and thought it was the coolest place. As an adult I took my children and my kids would always ask to go so we would drive the 2 hours just to go eat. Thank you for letting this place still be a part of our homes.

Review of 12oz (3 Pack) Gojo Hibachi Teriyaki Sauce | Sweet & Salty Grilling Baste from the Original Gojo Japanese Steakhouse, Create Authentic Japanese Food at Home I Asian Sauces for Meat, Noodles, Stir Fry sold by Kashu Corporation / Gojo Japanese Food. Received with a Best by date approximately 26 months from date of receipt. These were well packaged in a box that was designed more of a gift box. Packaging is important since glass bottles are used. Since I had not tried this product or product line before I tend to start off a little more cautiously to avoid ruining a meal with something that I either used improperly or simply do not care for. I tested with boneless chicken using this separately as a glaze and also tried as a marinade. I also used a little on some brown basmati rice. Since this is slightly thick it adhered well to the chicken. I also tasted a drop or two that was escaping down the side of the bottle after use. This was very flavorful and I greatly enjoyed this. I will need to expand my usage to take better advantage of the flavor. The salt and sweet were nicely balanced and not overwhelming. An insert was included that had three “recipes” but two of these were for other products of which one was being used as a stand-alone salad dressing. Refrigerate after opening.

Ok flavor but I’ve tasted better

This teriyaki sauce is pretty amazing. It has a nice and thick consistency well-suited to basting meats during grilling. The flavor is great too. It has a sweet and salty flavor with a subtle hint of umami. I used it on some chicken wings and they were finger-licking good. If you prefer a touch of sweet honey, you can add it to the basting sauce too. The sauce itself is tasty. The sweetness and saltiness are well-balanced and really elevate the taste of the grilled meats. This comes as a pack of 3 glass bottles with cellophane-wrapped lid, and well packaged in a custom flip-top cardboard box. A small promotional insert is included which introduces their sauces with a recipe for each. It has a simple teriyaki chicken recipe in which you cook your chicken in butter, then dice it and add the sauce. These bottles are of a large 13.5 oz. size. Overall, I'm really pleased with this sauce. It is thick and delicious. Great for basting meats. Decently priced. I would recommend giving it a try. Good stuff.

I like this terriyaki sauce. It is not too thick, so you can easily blend it in recipes. I used it tonight in a big batch of fried rice, and it worked well. I like that it isn't overly sweet. It adds a good flavor, and is not too sharp of a sauce, not spicy, and not sugary. Adds a mildly sweet tanginess to your cooking. If you are grilling with it, you might find that it isn't as syrupy as some other glazes you've used. It can glaze meat, or be used as a marinade; it's maybe the consistency of a thick french dressing. A little expensive per bottle, but i think you are paying for this unique brand; if you want the specific flavor you remember from this particular Japanese restaurant, then this is probably the way to go.

I have intolerance to night shades among other things. The teriyaki was perfect so I ordered it but I received ginger and and I couldn't try it

This Gojo Hibachi Teriyaki Sauce came as a 3-bottle set. It pours out slightly syrupy, not too thick and not too thin. This sauce is not as sweet as teriyaki sauce that I am used to. This was saltier and tasted more like thickened soy sauce. I poured it all over a chicken in the crockpot and the chicken came out delicious - very tender and had great flavor. This sauce is a bit high in sodium so if you are sodium sensitive you will want to be careful consuming this. At $11 per bottle (at the time of this review) I think it's on the high side for a sauce like this, but it is tasty and convenient, and I'm looking forward to trying it on a stir-fry next.
