Hi, I use it only under the arm. For less than 30 seconds you will get the result. But however the best thermometer for getting accurate results is the ear one.

Is the nasal aspirator efficient/effective?

Is not the best but does the job. Depending on how “aggressive” you want to be. For my daughter was enough. I did not need to buy a different one. We are still using the scissors and the hair brush, 5 years later so the set is good value for money. Hope this is helpful.
