Powerful little amp, 2 x subwoofer out

Really happy with the amp. The quality is great, it’s very powerful, and has the great benefit of having balanced inputs, which allowed me to have a totally interference free setup. The quality of the DAC is not great, and the bluetooth also is pretty low quality. But when connected to an external DAC via balanced cables it’s just great. For the price, amazing.

I've seen lots of rave reviews for these class-d amplifiers, but unfortunately it didnt live up to to the hype. I have a vintage integrated amplifier (arcam alpha II) which i wanted to replace, its running some average sized floor speakers. I also use a vintage FM tuner. The SMSL wasnt a good replacement for my Arcam. Despite my Arcam being rated at only 30 watts it has far more power than the SMSL, deep bass and decent volume. The SMSL really lacked bass, even when bass was at max on the equaliser. Secondly these class-d amps generate a lot of EMI (electromagnetic interference), which made using my FM tuner impossible. I'm sure that this amp would perform well in the right scenario, but not for me. I dont like returning stuff, and i did a lot of research before buying this, but it didnt live up to expectations, I appreciate that I was able to send this back to Amazon for a refund.

Was ich wollte: Ein kleines Setup für mein Büro (ca.16qm) (am PC angeschlossen) zum Musik hören und gelegentlich mal zum zocken. Was ich bekommen habe: Einen kleinen AMP gepaart mit 2 Klisch r-40M welcher wirklich richtig Power hat. Der SMSL hat dermaßen Power, dass die kleinen Klipsch mit ca. 40% Leistung am Volume Rad richtig laut und fett klingen. Die EQ Einstellungen am SMSL habe ich Mal durchgetestet aber außer den "Treble" und "Bass" Einstellungen nicht benutzt, da ich hier keinen krassen Unterschied feststellen konnte. Ich habe mich eigentlich bewusst dazu entschieden keinen Subwoofer anzuschließen weil ich Angst hatte den kleinen AMP etwas zu überfordern.... Nachdem ich jetzt aber festgestellt habe wie viel Power das Teil hat, werde ich das Setup demnächst wohl doch um einen Subwoofer erweitern. Was ich noch anführen kann ist, dass der kleine AMP davon profitiert, wenn man ihn anstelle des USB Anschlusses über einen guten DAC bespielt, und die passenden Audio Sources verwendet (TIDAL etc.) Wirklich super gutes Teil würde ich jederzeit für meine Zwecke wieder kaufen.

I tried several variations of this product and finally landed on this model. It is an absolutely amazing amplifier, and paired with a nice balanced DAC (SMSL M300 Enhanced is cheap and great with the less used Cirrus chipset) or tube-based pre-amp (using a Fosi Audio Box X4) it's even better. Typical SMSL quirky controls, but the remote works great. Take the time to do a little digging in the settings for optimal performance. I paired it with some inexpensive Klipsch monitors I have and an inexpensive Rockville sub and it sounds like a million bucks in my office. I have no doubt this thing could power my Klipsch Heresy IIs, but that will be a test for another day. P.S. plugged my Hidizs ap80 pro-x into the USB port and it worked perfectly as a connected DAP. This is a real bonus!

Acheté en remplacement d'un vieil ampli home-studio. Je l'ai choisi pour ses dimensions de la même largeur que mon interface Motu M4 dans un premier temps et pour ses deux entrées symétriques. Il est utilisé pour piloter de vieux synthés vintage puissants et piloter deux enceintes de monitoring Tannoy 8". Si vous cherchez un petit ampli compact home-studio, ne cherchez pas plus loin: il est quasiment parfait! Très bonne présence, excellente stéréo, aucune saturation et suffisamment puissant pour un home-studio avec des moniteurs à haute performance. Superbe.

Bought it 2 years ago. I use it to power my Clements RT7. It is way better than my old Ankyo receiver. The hi is crystal clear, the mid is full. The bass is not very solid; it's kind of loose, but you can feel it goes deep as it should. I'd like to use the word "soft" to describe it. After a year of use, it stopped working. I contacted the seller. Honestly, their service is beyond my expectations. The girl responsible for customer service is very responsible and courteous. She replied to my email pretty quickly and effortlessly. In the beginning, she instructed me to reset it, but it didn't work. Then she emailed me to send the Amp to them. They fixed it and sent it back to me very quickly, with no charge. Now it makes my RT7 sing again. There is no difference from before. Very good seller! The only inconvenience is that you need to send it to China if you need a repair. Shipping fee is a bit high, but the Amp is cheap. LOL.

Super blij mee, klinkt goed, voldoende vermogen en de voeding is nu intern en daardoor is het in totaal een stuk kleiner dan de eerdere versies.
