I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this book, it has all the information I was looking for regarding everyday life in Budapest in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The translation is faultless and the book is really comprehensive. A wonderful text for anyone who wishes to learn about the ways that people lived, from the plans of the apartment buildings to the organisation of the furniture in typical middle-class interiors.
