The grip case attached easily and doesnt move at all feels like it’s part of the deck. I was getting hand cramps over extended playing sessions due to ergonomics but with this case I feel none of it, I love that it stands up on its own too such a good idea. Lying in bed/on sofa playing with it on top of the case means extended play sessions are much more comfortable. It feels very premium with textured grips on the back but a slight squish to it which is a lot better than having a raw deck. I had considered other options for months which are more expensive options but I’m so glad I tried this first. The case is a must have add on as with the grips on it won’t fit into the stock steam deck case (it’s too snug) but I love the new case it feels like a full upgrade. Would definitely advise the extra £10 for the case as well it’s a must have! Great bang for buck, if you don’t want to shell out for the very expensive options - I couldnt change now to any other case it’s perfect for how I use the deck.

I think this has been great, really great build quality for the case and protection for my deck. The protector slips on super easy, I was a bit worried I was going to have to man handle my new deck to get a protector on but not at all, and I would be able to remove it easy enough to whereas with another popular one, the most popular one, I've seen some reviews state the application and removal of the protector has left minor scuff and or scratch marks to their deck, so its great thats simply not an issue here. The case is a hard shell and just looks and feels solid, its better than I expected tbh and the price for the combo of the two is an easy recommendation from me. I did get the official case with my steam deck but right now it hasnt been used and is safely tucked away. The internal flap/screen cover is great to, i can keep the screen cloth in there and theres room for SD cards to. Perhaps you could fit a small cable or something there to, but I think the case is really designed around keeping the deck snug and safe, so the charger or any other accessories cant be stored here, which is the only potential downside. Personally I think it would be unfair to take that into account in this review as the manufacturer never claimed it would hold a charger nor did they design it to do so, it does what it's suppose to and does it very well, and so I'm really happy with it actually. One other thing I really liked about this set to is the protector allows the deck to stand, without a kickstand. This for me was a niggle when looking at other product reviews, including the leading one having a slightly loose kickstand. While that might have gave a better angle when used (this self standing protector is probably a little more vertical than id like), it really depends on the user. I suppose if using it standing you might want to elevate it on something to get a better viewing angle, or if this is a deal breaker then you might want to consider a different product or perhaps you can buy an attachable kickstand meant to stick onto a protector. Personally for me the idea of the flappy loose kickstand on the other leading protector would drive me nuts, and I dont often use the deck in a way where im viewing for any lengthy period standing, its often when Im sitting it down for a moment or a few minutes to do something it means I can just simply stand it there an its as easy as sitting it down flat, except I can still see the screen, simple little convenience an no nonsense benefit for me and I like that it just works and I dont need to do anything like flip out the kickstand everytime I sit it down. All in all I think this combo is a great deal, excellent build quality, does what it's supposed to and its great value, highly recommended.

Purchased this as I wanted a cover for my steam deck to protect it. Cover fits perfectly and improves the grip/ergonomic placement of the hands making it more comfortable to hold. Hardshell case is nicely finished and has a soft lining too.

Great if you have larger hands and need some added comfort. The grip adds just enough bulk and texture to the Deck that it'd far more comfortable to hold for long periods. The grip is easy to put on and doesn't weight much. All buttons are accessible and as it has a flat bottom, you can set the SD down on a desk like it has a kickstand. Appears to be good quality, no damage or defects as far as I can see. I got the bundle as with the skin on, my deck would no longer fit inside the official 1TB OLED case due to the removeable inner being to small. The Skull & Co. case is lined with soft velvet for added protection and to stop scratches, there is a material screen cover with storage for 5 SD cards as well as a mesh pouch and elastic band for small cables/wired headphones, it also comes with a dust cloth. The inside of the top of the case has small impressions so if you have thumb stick caps, the deck will still fit. There is also a strap that goes behind the Deck when in the case and attaches to the screen cover storage to keep everything held in place.

This case fits well on the SD OLED, improves ergonomics, and the ability to stand it up on a table is handy. There are no extra bells and whistles like straps and kick stands but that's exactly why I like it so much, it's clean looking. It's made of a softer plastic that makes install and removal easy but doesn't allow it to shift or fall off while playing. The carrying case is only as big as necessary to carry your Steam Deck with the grip case on it so no room for a charger or battery pack. It's not much smaller than the official case that Valve gives you but the Skull & Co case feels a lot more solid and clean looking.

The best Steam Deck choice from the AU market sellers. Comfortable, great quality. Best feature over the others is it stands upright. A great day to day use feature I didn’t know I wanted. Well designed.
