You really need these when working on Japanese bikes, cars and other equipment.If the screw has a dot next to the cross head a normal screwdriver (phillips and pozidriv) will chew it up.The impact function shifts the tight ones.

Excellent screwdrivers. Damaged a brake disc retention screw using a Philips screwdriver before seeing a video explaining that these screws are not Philips. They are in fact JIS (Japan Industrial Standard) screws on Asian manufactured vehicles. The JIS P2 head securely locks into the screw head and the impact function works well to remove the screws without damage. Works better than standard drivers for Philips screws too.

Doesn't slip Great handle and works

For 47 years, I have been sticking Phillips screwdrivers into Japanese cross-head bolts and cursing them as the heads chewed up. Last year, I read about the Japanese Industrial Standard and learn that the bolts do not have Phillips heads.These screwdrivers slip in deep and you can feel them engage firmly. The bolts back out easily. I am yet to use the impact feature. They are essential for working on Japanese equipment.They pass the test of if they were to go missing they would be replaced.
