Solid-Feeling & Voltmeter Actually Works!
I was looking for the lazy man's way to quickly and cheaply add a voltmeter to my 1994 Miata - ideally with green lighting to match my instruments - and this worked perfectly. In 'accessory,' it read 11.3V (yes; battery is on borrowed time) and changed to 14.4V once started as the alternator charged the battery. By lunchtime, the car refused to start, which made sense as the voltmeter now read only 10.3V. When you plug a device into a USB port, the display alternates between vehicle voltage and device charging amps: cool! The outer ring also changes colors to reflect charging status. Finish was nice and the metal body felt solid. I had to squeeze the spring-loaded contacts slightly to get it into my cigarette lighter socket, where it stayed securely but could still be removed easily. The only very minor shortcoming was being unable to tell which way was up, display-wise, until I powered on the car. But then it was simply a matter of removing, rotating it 180 degrees and reinstalling.

Fire Hazard /// Update Problem fixed
Update 8-1-20, a very delayed update. The company contacted me months ago. Prior to updating my review I wanted to thoroughly test the product. During that time they have been study contact with me.After seeing I had an issue with one of their products and left a negative review. I did not reach out to them, they reached out to me to ask how they could make the situation right. They went above and beyond what I expected from a Amazon Seller. It's refreshing to deal with a company that stands behind their product and goes out of their way to make things right. The issue that once made this product a fire hazard has been corrected by upgrading the capacitors (I took apart one of the replacements I was sent prior to using the other) and build quality improved. I'm happy to say that I have thoroughly tested this product are using anywhere between 12v and 24v without any issue for extended periods of time. I would have posted other photos but unfortunately the USB card they were on was corrupted and the files were lost.Buyer beware possible fire hazard!I was initially pleased by the look and feel of this charger and especially liked that it showed the voltage in real time . Unfortunately I was only able to use the charger for 20 minutes on two occasions. The third time I used the charger it worked for less than 5 minutes before it exploded. While driving at 60 mph with the radio turned up more than halfway when it failed. The popping noise was much louder than my stereo, my first thought was I must have blew a tire but seconds later smell something electrical burning and seconds later visibly see smoke coming out of my cigarette lighter.Even though it happened on day 31 after I purchased it Amazon was really good about it and refunded my money and didn't require me to return it. Since it was going in the garbage anyway I wanted to she what happened on the inside. prior to taking it apart I could see some sort of material the size of it and the USB port. As you can see in the photos one of the capacitors blew up , covering almost everything on the inside with that white stuff you see in the photos. the plug in my Jeep is 12 volt hot at all times, thankfully it happened while I was in it and not while it was parked in front of my house otherwise the fire department would have had to come put out the carbque.

Works well but no control and lights can be distracting
The good: It feels like high quality construction, doesn't fall out of the outlet, and it's effective at finding the right setting to charge different devices. The green ring and yellow display are fine when there is no device charging. The bad: While a device is charging, it blinks between the voltage from the car and the amperage going to the device. I wish there was a button to turn that off or manually toggle which one to keep.

Provides battery information that Subaru should have included in their 2025 vehicles.
Works great! The USB charging ports are dependable and the LCD screen displays my vehicle's operating voltage (static battery or motor running) and works as an ammeter by displaying the total current during the charging process. I can easily check the battery condition (12.4 Volts) before starting the engine, then as a ammeter (14.2 - 14.4 Volts) when I'm driving and the battery is being charged.

Heavy Duty, Works Great and Looks Cool!
I love the heavy, high quality build of this Car USB Charger and Voltage Meter. It looks cool in my car's dash both during the day and at night. I leave it plugged into my car 24/7 and I can always see the battery voltage at a glance when I am not charging my cell phone. When I am not charging a phone, I can leave this unit plugged into me car's always-on power jack over a three day weekend and it doesn't drain my car's battery. When the voltage drops somewhere below 12 volts (I forget the exact voltage) the green light starts to flash red in a very attention-getting way, letting you know that your car battery voltage is dropping below 12 volts and that you should either start your engine or investigate why you battery is not charging. When you plug in a USB cord to charge your cell phone, the voltage display changes to constantly give you the charging current that is being consumed by your phone. (Instead of reading 12.6 Volts, it will then read something like 0.3A) Personally, I would rather have the voltage to be always displayed, because I don't care about how many amps are going to my cell phone. The quality of the the electrical connections at the tip and sides of the plug-in unit are good. Every now and then I find that this doesn't make good electrical contact with my car's 12 volt power jack (aka: cigarette lighter socket). When this happens I assume it is due to corrosion in my car's power jack. I then quickly rotate it left and right a few times and the electrical connection is restored again. Again, since the tip and electrical connections are still nice and shiny, I attribute any lack of electrical connection to my car's jack and not this nicely made charger. This is the third time that I have ordered this product to give as a gift for a family member, I like it that much.
