Everything the video shows, it's true. I use this every night at work before I drive home, for the perfect cup of coffee to keep me awake for my hour commute home. It's perfect. Everything you'd expect this French press to do? It'll do it in spades! 🤘😁🤘

Buen producto, pero el vendedor le pone su logotipo de su compañía, lo que hace que se pierda la estética del producto.

I gave it as a gift to my son. He said it works as advertised, but is a little hard to clean. He would buy it again.

Updated April 24, 2022: OK, I've now survived the learning curve required to transition from my much loved old "Boot Cut" press mugs. I must fairly amend my "First Impressions" review (below). * No, the PD folks do NOT need to offer a longer filter screen push rod option. A longer rod wouldn't even be able to pass down into the lower chamber to allow access to those extra 4oz of delicious brew. In fact it's not even needed! I simply unscrewed the screen "basket" assembly from the rod and removed the thin stainless steel "star" sheet that rests on the screen (no performance loss that I can detect). It now still filters great AND allows the coffee still remaining in the lower chamber to drain through more easily. Hint: it does help to lightly tap the bottom while upending the mug! ----------- Original Review: Love this press / mug. But it has one very serious flaw... that center rod should definitely be longer and allow far less wasted coffee to be left in the base. I can even live with the, faster cooling, uninsulated base but I ordered this item specifically for the extra 4 oz (24oz) of "drinkable" capacity. Sadly much of that extra capacity appears to be left as a "grounds soup" at the bottom. At least please allow us to purchase an extended length rod from an "Accessories" page on your website. Finally, I'm still a big Planetary Design fan... I have owned dozens of their great FP mugs over the years... but there is just no way PD should allow Amazon to ship this very expensive product in those new, VERY thin, brown paper "Recyclable" BAGS! With no other padding inside than a thin plastic liner bag my mug arrived with only a small ding but from the looks of that stupid brown "tissue paper" shipping bag it easily could have arrived in MUCH worse condition! Come On!! I mean I'm all for doing as much as we can to cut down on shipping waste but this was a mistake.

The plunger doesn't go all the way to the bottom. It stops where the 2 pieces separate. You either have to pump the plunger (made more difficult with the stop brew plate) multiple times or are left with a good deal of coffee mixed with grounds in the lower portion. I don't want to dump that much liquid in the garbage or that many grounds down my septic. If you could easily get more liquid out of the grounds I'd be much happier. The plunger itself has pretty deep ridges making it harder to clean than many other French presses. I find it odd the bottom section is plastic lined instead of stainless like the upper portion. You can feel a drastic difference in the insulation while it's brewing. It does make a good cup of coffee and feels sturdy and well made. Better than a lot of other travel presses. If they addressed these issues I'd buy an updated version.
