This set is amazing! Upon opening I knew it was perfect! The wax is easy to melt and tips easy to change. This is my daughters first set for art, she uses the quill for fine line drawing and filling in space. The ink is great and I love the little ink holder. She has used this daily since Christmas on different projects for fun and school. Packaging is beautiful so its great for gifting! The journal is AMAZING! Completely worth the price for all that is in the kit. We live in Maui and it made it over here is one piece!

I work in entertainment and have been searching for a very long time for a gift for a writer friend, and what a set this is! This gift set is very well produced, designed and executed. The overall visuals are quite stunning, and the color motifs of each element is complimentary of each other. It certainly has a literary feel to it. This set, with its nod to classic writing methods and gothic styling are quite inspirational for any writer with an appreciation of being able to step away from the digital writing world for new inspiration. With the tools included in this set, you have the option of simply using it to practice calligraphy or use it as a journal or old school handwritten creative writing kit. The set definitely sets the mood. The ink and inkwell are very well thought out, and the additional nubs are a nice touch. Throw in writing with a quill, and also having the option of using the wax stamp to seal envelopes is an unforgettable touch. This set is very impressive and will make a very thoughtful gift for any writers in your life. I love this set so much that I'm getting one for myself too. Love it!

This set is beautiful, especially the dip pin which is adnored with a peacock feather. This set includes a journal, letter opener, book mark, melting spoon, bottle of wax beads, tea lite candle, bottle of black ink, dip pen, 6 different nibs, small water jar, wax stamper, a dip pen holder, and a sheet of paper with an envelope that matches the theme. This is great for gifting since it comes in a box fitting each piece. That is what I plan to do with it or else I would have tested out the pen and paper for you to see. The only thing I didnt understand about this set was that they included 1 sheet of paper with an envelope. I do believe and wish they could have included more envelopes since thats ultimately what half of the set is used for...sealing envelopes. Its still very nice though.

I absolutely love all things pens and stationary, and I thought this set looked really nice. When I received it, I found out this set is absolutely beautiful and I had to show it off to anyone who would look at it. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful all the steampunk metal designs were on all of the items in the gift box. The second thing I noticed was just how many items this set actually comes with! I have never seen such a complete stationary gift set, with the quill pen, ink, replacement and different size nibs, the wax and seal, and the beautiful journal. I am afraid to even think of writing in this journal because it looks so nice and the paper feels so thick! If you know anyone that likes writing, calligraphy, stationary, or anything steampunk, then this set with make a wonderful gift!! I’d be so happy to receive this.

This calligraphy set is GORGEOUS in person. So very pretty!! The wax beads for sealing, the feather quill, the steampunk-ish journal...just WOW. I got this as a gift set, and I'm anxious to present it -- I cannot wait to see the delight I'm sure will result. The quality of the paper, the finish, the journal, all of it is top notch. Very thrilled with this set. So pretty!! Did I mention it's gorgeous? GREAT gift for the artistic young (or older) person in your life. Literally every one of my family members who has seen this has exclaimed "that's really pretty!" so I'm confident in my assessment of its beauty, lol.

This set arrived well-packaged with no dents. After opening it up, I noticed the journal first. The gears look amazing! The feather pen left something to be desired, it's not bad but I was hoping for a little more. It matches the set so I can't really complain. I was not a fan of the heart design on the quill holder. It just seems off that a heart would be in this set. Overall I give this a 4.5/5. It is very giftable, especially to someone who wants to practice writing with a quill.

This beautiful and ornate set contains everything you need to get started on your journey to writing calligraphy with one exception: There is no beginner's manual. I had to go on YouTube to learn what the various accessories were called and how to get started. It would be a lot better if this was included in the set. The only other problem is that the notebook pages have already started falling out. Perhaps it's been sitting out too long or cheap glue was used. Overall this set makes a nice gift for someone who might be casually interested in calligraphy.

This is a very impressive looking set! I purchased this as a gift for a close friend and boy did they LOVE it! The quality of the tools are nice and seem to be good quality, the journal is really cool and looks to be well made. All the tools were well packaged and displayed nicely in the box. The assortment of tools is all-encompassing! There's a bookmark, wax seal supplies and more! This is obviously a set for beginners, but If you or someone you know is interested in trying calligraphy, this set a great choice!
