Very stable, solid metal base. The arms are spaced on a 5" x 7" rectangle. Two are shorter, two are longer. They hold position very well, as do the clamps. The magnifying glass seems to work well. The kit includes a handle so you can take it off the arm and use it as a normal magnifying glass around the house. It's not lit, but lighting is simple enough to add in the environment. First up is an Xbox controller where the stick sensor has flaked out. With this, should be easy enough to desolder and swap out the potentiometer.Only time will tell how the arms hold up over the years. But for the price, I'm very happy with it so far.

Pretty much straight forward. Does what it says. Weight is good so no tipping issues. Clips are tight but no over tight. Arms are a bit stiff but will loosen up with use im sure. Magnifying glass does it's job.

I could not solder small components without this. The only problem I had was keeping the screws tight on the arms but a little loctight and problem solved. Magnifying glass is not so great but just gets in the way anyhow so I use a pair of 3 power reading glasses

Works okay, but the helper hands are hard to manipulate and set still. Good build quality at the least.

Always wanted something like this so I bought it in a whim. I am sure glad I did.The setup was easy, you may need a screwdriver to tighten the screws once you thread them by hand at first. The magnifying glass comes with its own screw off handle that means it can is both attachable (as seen in the imagine) to the main holder AND acts as a stand alone magnifying glass, which I love.It's already made so many projects easier and I don't regret my decision to buy.

I like it a fair but though the arms are a bit too overly stiff and don't hold something right where I put it.
