Great
I have owned a Braun from the 90's, a Norelco rotary style shaver, and at least one other over the years. This was a significant upgrade in performance. It's not 100% in one pass, you still have to go back for some whiskers here and there. But noticeably superior overall. For the first few weeks I thought it wouldn't work out because I was getting some irritation. I had gotten used to have to apply a little pressure with my previous shavers, and you need to avoid that here. This is as close to razor-smooth as I've had with an electric shaver. Also if I don't shave for 3-4 days, this makes a great lawn mower. My previous shavers would catch hairs much more frequently (which hurts a bit) whereas it is rare with this model of Braun. The sideburn trimmer is also very good which is a bonus. I did not feel that any of the self-cleaning bells and whistles would be worthwhile, this was the simplest version of this model I could find. It is very easy to pop open and brush out. This is a pricy shaver but I have really found it to be worth the extra money.

The Best Shave I’ve Ever Had – Braun Sets the Bar!
The Braun Series 9 PRO+ is on a whole different level when it comes to electric shaving. It glides effortlessly over my skin, even with a few days’ worth of stubble, and leaves no irritation behind. The five ProShave elements and the flexible ProComfort head really do the heavy lifting—every contour of my face gets attention, and I’ve never had a shave this close and comfortable from an electric razor before. It’s fast, smooth, and feels like a premium grooming experience from start to finish. The SmartCare Center is the perfect companion, keeping the shaver clean, lubricated, and charged with zero hassle. The build quality is excellent, and the sleek design looks great on my bathroom counter. The battery life is impressive, and I love that it can handle both wet and dry shaves depending on my mood or schedule. Yes, it’s a bit of an investment, but if you value performance, comfort, and convenience, the Braun Series 9 PRO+ is absolutely worth it.The Braun Series 9 PRO+ is on a whole different level when it comes to electric shaving. Pricey, but the Best Electric Razor Ever
This is Braun’s top of the line electric shaver with all the accoutrements. One can buy a like, barebones model for $100 - $150 cheaper. I’d definitely consider that. The different packages are priced differently, but the shaver is the same. I’ve only used this shaver once on a 3-day beard. Prep the beard, washing the face with soap warm water. Dry the face. Shave. I haven’t tried the beard-prep attachment yet. Depending on usage, I will periodically clean the razor with the large, electrical device. Most of the time, cleaning the razor with just warm / hot water is all that’s needed. This is easily the best electric razor I’ve owned and used. Highly efficient - fewer passes, less time. No skin irritation whatsoever - a first. A definite BBS (baby bottom smooth) shave, on par with Gillette Mach 3 and Fusion razors, and double-edged (DE) razors (Henson + Astra blade). I have good experience with these alternative methods of shaving. The DE takes longer with oils and creams and occasional weepers; the Gillette is the fastest, with the same oils and creams; Braun, other than washing the face, is the simplest, and a close second in terms of efficiency/speed. Surprisingly, all three provide similar BBS shaves. I’ll retain and use all three methods. For 1 - 2 week travel, the Braun will be my main shaver, with Gillette as backup. As for the for daily shaves, the DE and the Braun will share the honors. The Braun head and blades are said to last up to two years - perhaps longer with intermittent use? As a retiree, I now usually shave every two days, sometimes up to four days. Time will tell how well this new Braun will hold up, but in my experience with other Brauns, I expect no issues. Value for money? My Henson Titanium cost $250, Simpson badger / synthetic brushes cost $100+, and creams / soaps, shave oils, alum bars are less costly, but still. Gillette blades are relatively costly, but last six to eight shaves on average. So when all is said and done, while the upfront cost of this Braun is hefty, it’s not outlandishly so. One can use cheap disposable multi blades, but the quality of the shave is noticeably inferior. In short, I’ve chosen my shaving methods. Now, my incremental cost is simply replacing blades, creams, and pre-shave oils, which are infrequent and less costly. Kudos to Braun for this elegant, highly efficient shaver!

Great shaver, lousy bundle
Great shaver, stupid extras — and priced like it shaves gold. The Braun Series 9 PRO+ gives a close, comfortable shave and is built to last. The cleaning station is useful and time-saving — I use it daily and love the convenience. But the so-called ProComfort head? Useless marketing gimmick. The “premium” charging travel case? Another waste. Between those two throw-ins, this bundle feels padded for price, not value. Compared to my old Series 8, it’s not quite as silky-smooth, maybe because of daily cleaning cycles. Still, it beats my Panasonic ARC5, which was too harsh and uneven. At $300, it’s a very good shaver buried in a pricey bundle.

Buy it you will love it
The series 8 was horrible but the series 9 Pro Plus is perfect. Works great comes with all kinds of cool attachments and bells and whistles. It doesn't literally come with bells and whistles. Some people might actually think that would be false advertising. Lol. But it has the cleaning station and all the little stuff that comes with it I love the charger port. It's definitely worth the money as long as they keep it where it cuts good because the eight did not cut at all I can run it across my face 10 times and not a hair would be touched but the nine is absolutely perfect.

Excellent Foil Electric Shaver but Expensive
A number of reviews of electric shavers consider this the best on the market. It gives me a very close smooth shave with no pulling. I bought it on a pre Prime Day sale and saved about $130. The shaver has 5 foil blades and a head that can move to many vertical positions. Once you fibd your sweet spot it can be locked in place and will only move slightly to follow the contours of your face. This item comes with a 6 in 1 unit that will charge, clean, and condition the razor. A liquid cleaner, etc. cartridge fits into that unit. This item comes with one. that Braun says can last 2 to 3 months - I'm not there yet so I can't tell. The charging cord will work with the razor directly as well as the two items mentioned below This item also came with a travel charging case, It is solid and can charged to give you about an hours worth of recharge. It is large, My only complaint is with the long hair trimmer that most electric razors have built into them. It is not fully inside when not in use and the edges of the blade stick out slightly. It will not hurt you but can be a bit annoying. It would seem to me to be a wonky design decision.

Can shave older beards, but ask for a manager if you call support
This was hugely disappointing. I liked the idea of the lifetime sharp pro trimmer and that the main shaver blades are supposed to last 18 months and everything with a two year warranty. I also liked the idea that it can shave up to a week old beard without pulling my hair. However in less than 11 months the shaver’s performance declined making it seem at times as no more than a super over priced disposable shaver. What a disappointment. The first problem was I started noticing that the main shaver head started taking much longer to get the job done. I bought the whole kit and used the auto cleaner and lubricators regularly. In the past my Braun blades stayed sharp for years but this one was less than a year. Then at 11 months the pro trimmer started malfunctioning intermittently, mostly not working right, as it would painfully pull my hair and cut my face like a barber trimmer acts when get doesn’t get oiled correctly. Only this one acts like this right after getting cleaned and oiled properly by its own cleaning system that came with it. What a disappointment. In the past, with my older Braun shavers, Braun took care of service issues and would send me replacement parts as needed with no problems or complications, just ultra SLOW shipping. Now that I dumped enough money into a shaver that I could have bought a decent iPhone instead, I got treated awful by their customer service team. In addition to the disappointing performance of the Series 9 Pro PLUS shaver, I got nothing but non-service. Customer service actually attempted to get me to consent to releasing my medical records, if you can believe that, to protect themselves from liability in case there were any serious or legal issues regarding the trimmer cutting my face. Not cool. I of course declined giving them my medical records, which is none of their business. Customer support initially called it a “survey” for their “support team”, leading me to believe it was so they could improve the product. Then after making me wait on hold without explanation, they told me I had to send them the trimmer back for “inspection” and it would take 3-4 weeks to get it there, 2-3 weeks to inspect it, and IF THEY determined there was even anything wrong with it, AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION, they would POSSIBLY repair my shaver or replace broken or non-functional parts. Then it would be another 3-4 weeks to get it back. This would total to almost 3 months I’d be without a trimmer. I wonder if their trimmer can cut a 3-month old beard, lol! I asked them if they could send me a lender or something while they looked at my shaver and they assured me this was the only way they could help me and the only way they would honor their warranty. Support additionally told me a replacement or lender shaver, or anything of that nature, that I could shave with in the meanwhile would not be possible, and that I should basically mail it and hope after 3 months of being without a trimmer, that they MAYBE could resolve my problem. So to me, this was a lack of commitment to customer service and an effort to not honor their warranty. It felt like another hedge and hassle technique. Another classic effort to avoid actually honoring warranties by intentionally creating so much hassle that no one can actually get any warranty service. I asked them if there were any other options and they said there were none. If this is now their way of providing customer support for the most EXPENSIVE trimmer I have ever known, then count me out! Their rep could care less about the ramifications to the company, just a job to him…not bought into the company, this of course could be a business indicator that Braun has grown financially insolvent and likely may face the same future as Toys R Us and Joann’s Fabrics. I have been with Braun for decades, I will be finding a new brand soon, one where their shavers work and their warranties are worth something and one gets what they pay for and there is REAL customer support and not just a shadow and an illusion of customer support. When I told them I was disappointed, they didn’t care and said that is all they can do. Apparently, no service is their best. Remember when a dollar was a dollar? What junk! So disappointing. I thought this may have been their best shaver yet, but disappointingly I found the hard way it was all hype and marketing. If they spent less money texting me advertising each month and more time supporting their product, things might be different for them. Update: Customer support manager Olger called me back, after I had asked for a manager. He apologized for the first rep’s actions and said they indeed could do a lender while looking at my shaver. I changed my 1 star to 3 star as consequence. I told him I will try one more thing before taking him up on his offer. I then applied some oil I use on my barber’s shaver I use for hair cuts at home, and so far it seems to have fixed the problem. A little trouble shooting and Braun could have figured that one out too. It seems like the base station was not oiling my shaver too well…another disappointment.
