The best result possible
Works perfectly for best results with iPhone don’t use digital zoom use optical that means moving camera closer takes more time to set up but yields best results the best app to convert your negatives to positives I used trevni found on the App Store it was $ 1.99 yes photo shop and all programs are as good but cost way more because they are subscription model watch for glare from your camera case best to remove

Does the job. Easily scratched negative holder.
Easy to set up and configure. The only issue I have is the negative tray has clear plastic instead of glass so it scratches too easy. I handled with great care and still developed scratches after short time.

Impressed with this Horizontal setup!
A lot of the rigs out there for tabletop are overhead. I really like using this horizontal style. The tray works well enough but if your film is quite bowed out I don’t think it does enough job flattening it for you. The light is super bright on max setting which is great because I can increase shutter speed a little bit. Overall very happy to do certain film on here because of how quick and simple it is. I still use a vertical station with a high CRI light for higher end scanning projects

Fine overall, some components unuseable
Overall a very useful rig, film carriers are very secure and effective and the frame is sturdy and well designed. however it is very low quality in several areas, the led panel is not properly diffused and presents very uneven lighting with bright spots and visible led points, not suitable for accurate scans so another solution will need to be retrofitted onto it to be useable. Plexiglass in the film carrier is very easily prone to scratches, created some gouges just by using a microfiber cloth to clean the dust stuck to it from the package Not worth it for the price with the unit I recieved, but can be modified to work properly with some effort

Awesome way to scan Negatives !
This device is awesome. Very well made! I’ve been looking for a 120 scanner for ever! Easy set up! I use my Nikon d800 with a Tamron 90mm Macro! Worked like a charm! Highly recommend!

Great for 120, 35mm is a different story.
Its pretty good for 120, but if you plan to scan 35mm its terrible. The 35mm clamp doesn't cover the reel holes on the edged of 35mm film so you cant get a good image due to light bleed. Kind of a giant oversight. I'll have to find a way to cover the holes i guess.
