4.5 stars but overall excellent
Great ride and great product, however gotta deduct .5 because factory shock has nut welded onto it and this one does not. It went smooth because I had a nut to put onto factory bolt but for most they may be dissapointed. 2013 Ford Explorer XLT

1 star off due to missing hardware
The shocks are great so far, the ride is soft and the price was right. Now, the original Ford shocks have the nut welded in, which will require you to either cut the welds (easy enough) or for the aftermarket fabricator to include one in the box. Detroit Axle decided to include everything but that.Ford made it really easy to swap these out, I wish they had done the same with the bearings 🤣

Great with Extra Hardware
Factory OEM had welded nut on shock. Had to pause and get lock nut and fitting nut. Would be nice if provided with shock but still worked great. 5 stars.

Packing
I’m m not sure what happened but when I saw the box leaned up against my door, I walked up and reached in the boxes and pulled out my shocks without having to open the boxes because they were busted open. The shocks look to be ok but if there was anything else in the boxes I would have not known it. I have not received a box before in this condition.

missing parts
These shocks seem to be well made. But the lower mounting is missing the nut that is welded to the factory shock. For the upper stud they sent a nylon lock nut, there's no possible way to tighten it in the space given inside the car.

Missing hardware
Easy to install but was missing the welded on nut would recommend checking out yours beforehand this may be only on the explorer and other applications you may not need the nut

Only lasted 6 months
After 6 months they are noisy and aren’t absorbing the bumps
