Over the last few years, we've been replacing older recessed high hat lights with these thin LED ceiling lights. Additionally, we've been installing new ceiling lights where we did not have previously have recessed lighting, helping to light the garage, ceiling and various rooms throughout the house. All lights working well, some are three years old now. Nice an bright, dimmable, inexpensive to operate versus incandescence light bulbs. Also easy to install. Win-win-win.

The media could not be loaded.  Got the for our kitchen remodel. I love that both the brightness and the color are adjustable. Very easy to install and to adjust as you please. Recommend!

CON:If your router is on the far side of the house, you're going to need a booster. All the wi-fi components are on the inside of a sealed metal box, so the range is very short. PRO:Very thin wafer light. Don't worry about hitting a joist in your ceiling - it's thinner than 1/2 inch drywall, so you can center the lights in your room, even if your center line is right under a joist. Just run the wires to the controller on either side of the joist.The spring clips are very sturdy with great tension - they hold the light securely to the ceiling.3 Electrical push connectors with 4 ports are included, so you won't need to buy those.However, you will need to buy and install plastic NM cable connectors in the 1/2 inch knockouts to protect your electrical cable from being cut on the edges. To be fair, they have no idea whether you will need 1, 2, or even 3 of these per box if you use one of the boxes as a junction for several cables.There are 2 parts to each light - (1) the controller/junction box, and (2) the wafer light. There's a 2-prong plug on a short cable to plug the light into the controller box. It seems as if the light (rather than the controller) retains the name you assign to each light. So if you set up a light, then unplug the light from that controller and plug it into another controller, the light retains the name you assigned to it.The manufacturer recommends using an app called "Joinin Home." However, if you already use another app like "Smart Life" to control wi-fi IOT devices, it works just as well - maybe even better. Smart Life seemed to connect faster and easier, and didn't seem to care if the light was flashing slow or fast during the setup process.To put the light in setup mode, turn power off-on, off-on, off-on, off-on, off-on, (5 times) at about a 1-second beat. It will then start flashing and Smart Life will detect and install it. Everything I put in Smart Life automatically and instantly gets discovered by Alexa.

The install level was fine but the wifi range is insanely short. The short range leads to them being very unstable. Most the time at least half are offline at any given time so you then can't use the groups to change them. Settings also often reset when turned on/off. If they were returnable I would have sent them back. Instead just buying new ones and tossing these out.

Love the settings to change the brightness/color! Easy to install. Great value for the price. We bought a large quantity for a few projects and did not have an issue with a single light.

Performed as designed.

I had these put in 3 rooms and took down the various "boob" lights. It certainly made a difference in how it opens up the rooms and makes the space feel! I have a couple of rogue lights that do not want to integrate with Alexa, they are at the furthest point from the internet (I'm not sure if that's it or if it's the lights themselves), so I just use the regular light switch... not that big of a deal for me, it's not in a room that color change and such is important or needed. The Joinin Home app is very clunky and comparable to a preschool coloring book... luckily, after integrating with Alexa, there is little to no need to use the Joinin app.
