Are these thick and padded in case of accidents? TY!

No not padded, but not thin either.

Would the 6-8 fit a 5 year old? He's already in 5T and they seem to be tighter on him. He's also very skinny.

My 4 1/2yo son is in between 4T and 5T. He also is a skinny boy. These undies are quite big on him.
