Men's 'Mako II' Japanese Automatic Stainless Steel Diving Watch

Great watch, bracelet strap feels really good, even if it does rattle occasionally. For a watch I paid under 200 bucks at the time, I can't complain. Looks much better than the picture, although not as good as the Mako 3. Seems to keep good time, but power reserve is maybe 25 hours, maybe a little more. I wou.d buy again, really have no complaints. I don't really dive, but spend a lot of time outdoors so no issues with rain, etc.

if you like the watches and the automatic movement this one is the first option in your list ( its my personal opinion)!, solid metal easy to read the numbers, the bezel working good with precision, its not big you need to check the size, but immediately that you put the watch in your harm you fell that is original watch and non imitation form china! I made the investigation about Orient as company and they are very famous in Japan, they are part now of Seiko organization ( in the past they was a Seiko competition in Japan) another important point Orient does not spend money as Rolex, Omega and other famous brand in marketing and the material for the watches are in the top level quality, the objective of them is good quality and watches for lifes, non expensive prices. finally they are a very high reputation level in the Japan market for several year! Orient are the creator of the famous bambino classic dress watches and this model Mako are in the same way of the bambino, high quality and stronger details in the construction of this watch without ridiculous prices that you pay for marketing, luxury stores, famous actors or sport celebrity that use them in the commercials. I understand that the people think about Rolex for submarine watches, but this one is not a Rolex imitation its a excellent and different watch that do not try to stay in the imitation line or "whannabe Rolex"! I am very happy with my MAKO II, Original, non imitation, non mickey mouse watch with strong structure and serious company support!... if you can not buy a Rolex because its expensive, my recommendation do not try to buy a imitation that the people know is an imitation....think about it, if your salary are not in connection with a 10K Rolex and your car is a 2001 corolla car, why you try to buy a non real Rolex? its much better an Original automatic Japanese watch than Chinese imitation and mickey mouse watch!

I bought this watch over a Seiko SKX as my “beater” watch. While it doesn’t quite have the character of and SKX, it does look classy and refined. It has become one of my favorite watches for the simple reason that it is an astounding value. Anyone should be able to make a great watch for $5,000. That doesn’t impress me much. But when you make something like this for under $150, that is special. First, the watch does not feel cheap. It has a healthy weight to it. The details on the dial are very good. Yes, the bezel is not easy to turn because the knurled edges are too smooth. But, really, who needs to turn the bezel on a dive watch other than a diver? The bigger issue is the crown. They really crapped the bed on this design. You WILL need to use fingernails to turn it. This is really an annoying oversight because the rest of the watch is so nice and this would be such an easy thing to address. Other than that, it a lovely looking watch and as you can see from my pictures, it does really well on NATO straps. It’s is also EXTREMELY accurate. Mine gains 3 seconds per day. To put that in perspective, my $2800 Tag Heuer Aquaracer gains 6 seconds per day and my $4500 Omega Speedmaster gains 4 seconds per day. How this watch is more accurate at $125 is beyond explanation. We will see how well it stands the test of time but, really, if I get two years out of it it will be the best watch purchase I ever made. Plus, although I enjoy it’s looks, I don’t worry about it when I wear it because it’s so inexpensive. That alone is a great weight lifted because with my nicer pieces I’m always conscious of the fact that I have thousands of dollars on my wrist and that leads to some anxiety. Not so with this watch. You really cannot go wrong with this. No it’s not a snooty brand that will get you oohs and ahs from the douchy watch snobs, but this is really what a watch should be- accurate, attractive, durable, and inexpensive.

Sono rimasto veramente stupito dalla precisione del suo movimento, acquistato per via del suo quadrante che lo fa assomigliare a un Rolex Explorer oppure al Tudor Ranger (inversione Diver), non ho mai smesso di indossarlo da quando mi è arrivato. Fatto il bagno al lago e al mare, testato ogni giorno, devo dire che ancora oggi questo Oriente Mako II mi soddisfa completamente, al punto che mi viene voglia di acquistare il suo erede, il Mako III (con vetro zaffiro), il attesa che il suo prezzo cali ancora un po'. Promosso!!!

Conoscevo il Mako, ed è molto bello e valido per quello che costa. Orologio preciso che può sorprendere proprio per la grande precisione che può essere a livello Cosc. Consegna puntuale, consiglio sia il venditore che il prodotto.

Este es el 3er reloj de buceo que tengo (mako II negro e Invicta Pro Diver en negro también). En esta ocasión decidí por la versión Pepsi. En vivo y a todo color de ve hermoso, muy bonito reloj. En cuanto a lo estético es muy llamativo. Lo vengo usando desde hace 16 días aprox así que puedo decir, que al menos, la pieza que poseo tiene una precisión de +9.7 seg por día. Tengo un sabor amargo, tomando como ejemplo los otros dos Divers que poseo son mucho más precisos que este Pepsi. Pienso que no está tan mal los 9.7 seg al día, pero aún así desearía que rondara por los 5 seg. Ni hablar. El bicel es de buena calidad. El mío salió muy fácil de utilizar, nada duro y el triangulo del mismo bicel está perfectamente alineando. No hay problema con eso. El precio fue muy accesible. Me costó aprox 2600 pesos mexicanos pero ya con los gastos de envío e impuestos de importación resultó un total de 3600 pesos, aprox 168 dólares, que considero es un precio aceptable. Menos de 200 dolares por éste Diver estaría bien. El lumen es aceptable, obviamente, por este precio no esperes pasta luminosa tipo Super luminova Suiza, por que no será así. La que posea hace su función. En general estoy satisfecho con la compra. Me gustó el reloj y la precisión es aceptable medianamente. Espero me dure mucho mucho tiempo. Satisfecho.

Petite précision pour commencer, cette montre est une Orient Mako 2 et non une Ray 2, la photo correspond bien au produit qu'on reçoit (les index sont des chiffres et des barres, alors que sur la Ray 2 ce sont des triangles et des cercles). J'ai acheté cette montre un peu sur un coup de tête, je n'ai jamais été vraiment attiré par le style des plongeuses, mais j'ai eu un petit coup de cœur pour celle-ci et je ne regrette vraiment pas, pour le prix elle est vraiment chouette. J'avais un peu peur du diamètre du boitier sur mon minuscule poignet de 15 cm, mais ça passe vraiment bien, je trouve juste que le bracelet est un peu trop large mais je chipote. Ce bracelet est justement très confortable, rien à voir avec le bracelet jubilé de ma Seiko 5 SNKL23 qui tirait les poils. Le bleu du cadran est magnifique avec son petit effet soleillé. Je n'ai pas testé l'étanchéité. On peut choisir entre l'anglais et l'espagnol pour la date. Je recommande à tous ceux qui cherche une belle plongeuse à petit prix.
