Amazing OLED
Not often I'm surprised, but this monitor is absolutely brilliant. I've had a high quality Alienware 38 widescreen, and I was always ok with it, recently though the white banding issue in dark scenes made me change. Glad I did, colours pop out and the dark scenes in Last of us 2, rich dark colours, can actually see more in the dark, so much easier to see whats in the shadows. Oled is far superior, was worried re burn in, but this monitor reminds you to use the refresh feature.. The pixels that a reviewer with bionic eyes, said was problematic, no issues for me. Resolution wise had no issues with ultrawide comparability so far. Now, the 800R curve? Well it is great for gamers, really helps immersion. No issues reading emails etc. I don't work on a pc, its for gaming/ leisure. Get it now while its £700 odd quid. Stunning picture OLED, proper colours, proper dark when its supposed to be, and crisp crystal clear graphics. Its a 10 from me Len.

but this OLED!
If you are a PC gamer looking for that new display/monitor upgrade, just BUY this OLED display! dont even consider wasting your time or money on cheaper IPS!! for general desktop use it doesn't look much different to to IPS screens tbh. BUT, once you have your GAMES loaded up, they look absolutely Excellent! so SHARP! so CLEAR! so much juicy vibrant COLOR! ALSO, you can emulate 24 inch screens by setting the resolution un-scaled in nvidia control panel and then choosing 1080p resolution! so you got options if 27 inch is abit too big for you! i actually play 1080 by 1440p! looks stunning! this is the cheapest OLED you can buy and its top quality! if you are a PC gamer, you absolute owe it to your video GAMES to be displayed in the BEST way possible! finally, when u get the monitor, make sure the first thing u do is adjust the settings to make the display look its best!

A Great monitor but not without some quirks
for reference the monitor i purchased was the AG276QZD2 (im adding this because i find Amazons way of cramming multiple products in the same review section confusing and misleading to potential buyers) Okay so to start this is NOT HDMI 2.1 , im getting tired of seeing false specs advertised. what does this mean? it means you will NOT be running this monitor through the HDMI ports at 240hz 1440p, 2.0 simply does not have the bandwidth available, you will need to use the DP ports instead if you want full 240hz. whats the draw back of that? well nothing really the only thing you lose running through DP is no 12 bit colour option in the Nvidia settings not that i personally saw or could read up online about any full on evidence that running a 10bit monitor in 12bit really does have any effect, at the very least when i ran it through hdmi 12bit i could see no difference between this or 10bit mode despite what people say online but you could argue thats just me so its up to you to decide on that if you would rather sacrifice hz. another thing i see sometimes in the comments is about the picture going black then coming back, most likely this is an issue with your cable not actually being rated for what ever retailer/reseller said it was when you bought it (again tired of false specs being listed on websites like amazon) i had this issue with my DP cable and when i swapped to using the supplied cable provided by AOC i no longer had any black screen flashing issues so i suggest trying that first before writing off the monitor as faulty. next up is the OLED care settings, yes i agree some can be a bit confusing on what it is they do and out of the box its set up to remind you every 4 hours that its time for a pixel refresh, for a gaming monitor this is quite annoying when you are seeing it pop up in the middle of a match but i understand why it is on, i suggest you turn off the reminder in the settings and run it manually when you are done for the day (though i think it does automatically run when it detects nothing being done on the monitor for an extended period of time regardless) now onto the actual quality, i think its fine? its not mind blowing but it deffo has its moments where it can look beautiful compared to my IPS in certain games. the HDR when first turning it on via the windows 11 settings does infact look washed out which seems to be a common response on alot of OLEDS if not all, make sure to run the HDR calibrator in windows and tweak the settings to your liking in AOC's settings aswell. i dont really have any complaints when it comes to this, SDR and HDR content looks perfectly fine, i also see no text issues which is another common complaint with OLEDS another thing to note is the screen is Glossy which gives it a more premium feel im not sure once again why the listing is wrong and it says matte but it isn't, you will see your beautiful mug when the screen is black depending on the amount of light that is in your room reflecting back at you. the rest of the build also feels solid to me with full height, and swivel adjust, nothing feels cheap imo which is what id expect for any monitor pushing past the £400 price tag. if you want to use the AOC software G-Menu that lets you tweak various settings including the RGB light at the back of the monitor then make sure to connect your monitor via the provided usb cable to your PC, the software can seem a little slow but again i dont have complaints about it ive seen much worse peripheral apps. overall for the price i paid which was £429.97. I think its a great monitor and im happy with it overall for that price, the only reason for 4 stars is mainly due to inconsistency's with the listed specs and i dont think at its full price i would replace my cheaper £250 - 300 ips displays for the benefits of true black, HDR etc , whilst i said above the quality can look beautiful at times in certain games its really down to what you feel like an OLED is worth to you.

Yes its expensive but its worth it.
Lets talk about the curve. From a standard monitor to a curved screen makes a difference. When playing games you get an immersive feeling like no other, you feel part of the game. I play BF4, PUBG and many other shooter games. Its a plus for me. Size, the monitor is huge but not too big that it won't fit on your desk. The stand is awesome and well made, It feels like it has been made out of steel. The emtire monitor can rotate about 60 degrees each way and will move up and down on the stand without an issue. The rear of the monitor comes with multiple input/outputs including2 USBs ideal for cable management for keyboard and mouse. The monitor also has a headphone holder that pops out the side to hold a pair of headphones. I use it all the time for my Hyper X Wireless Clouds. Ideal place to charge them. RGB, You can select a nice color to match your setup but I do believe the color is limited to a few, red green and blue? You can adjust the monitor with a console that plugs in and sits on your desk or using the monitor itself. To save extra cables, I just used the monitor. Gaming - You notice, you notice the refresh rate. Going from a 60hz monitor everything feels ridiculously fast, combine that 200hz with a 200fps locked game and you have yourself a very nice experience. The monitor does not feel like a strain on your eyes after long game play. It truly is an outstanding experience. Light-bleed. As users have pointed out, light bleed is noticeable at the top and bottom BUT only when the entire screen is black so unless your going to look at black screens all day... Its expensive, but its worth it.
