Not very sharp (UPDATE)
*Update* Received a new knife from the seller. This knife is way sharper and very much up to standard. Great costumer service too! Looks and feels great, however this isn’t a very sharp blade and requires re-sharpening after almost every use.

Quality knife 10/10
Quality knife I use daily. Was skeptical about this but its overachieved my expectations, sharpens easily and is reliable. Lovely handle (keep it treated with some linseed oil) and arrives well boxed as a high end product. Would recommend if you are looking for a similar Japanese knife to start or within a lower prices range. 10/10

Presentable, but not a chef's tool worthy of the RRP
Nice to look at, but blade is a tad too heavy. Not manufactured in Japan - more likely Chinese manufacturering, perhaps with administrative HQ in Japan. Construction quality is ok but not top class. Finish is nice to look at. Comes in a nicely presented box but if you're looking for a functional tool then this is far from the best, especially at this price point.
