Great in large family room with high ceiling, easy setup, eARC & CEC, impressive power
I'm very happy with this soundbar. Assembly and installation was a breeze and it is working exactly as I'd hoped. The power is impressive for such an inexpensive unit with a very nice subwoofer. The 5.25" driver does a great job in my larger open family room with 18' ceiling. I recently bought an 85" TV that runs on the FireTV OS, and encountered a problem that I could not solve with my old soundbar, and I needed one with eARC functionality. My new TV was connected to my old soundbar with an AUX cable, and every few days the FireTV OS would drop the volume down to 30% and issue a warning about sound safety, which I have since learned is part of the Android OS (which FireTV is built on). There is no fix or workaround and it gets really annoying. I needed a new soundbar that came with eARC & HDMI CEC, which my new TV has. This soundbar fit the bill. I connected my new TV's eARC HDMI port to the soundbar (with an HDMI cable), made a couple changes in the TV's settings, and presto, everything works! With eARC, when I change the volume on my TV, the soundbar adjusts its volume automatically to match the change, so I don't even need to use the soundbar remote, and no more volume drops. Small note, I did have to physically remove the AUX cable from the TV before eARC would work. If I have any complaint, it's that I wish the high frequencies were a bit crisper, but for this price I'm not worried about it. There is plenty of bass, which is nice, but I appreciate a good upper range in speakers. I wound up turning down the bass a little to try to achieve better balance. The different EQ buttons (movie/music/news), help with this, but the sound range is a bit limited. Not a big deal given the value here. Note that if you use an optical cable, your TV won't be able to control the speaker volume, and you'll have to use the speaker remote for control, or maybe your TV remote can be programed to use the speaker's signal. IMO, eARC is the way to go for great digital sound. Physical setup was quite easy. The two speaker sections twist together very easily and snap into place. Connected the subwoofer's plug, plugged in the power, and everything works! Great that it also has Bluetooth available for listening to music or even connecting a tablet or phone to watch a movie if you prefer, a nice extra. I'm so happy with this system that I am considering picking up another one to use with my computer. It's an incredible value at this price. Enthusiastically recommend!

Great Sound at a Great Price
This Saiyin soundbar greatly improved my TV audio. The sound is clear, the subwoofer adds solid bass, and movies sound much better. Setup was quick and easy, and Bluetooth works well. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.

Excellent sound, hard to set up
I would have given it 4.75 stars if I could have. The setup gave me a few problems, but I finally got it done. I plugged everything into my brand new Insignia 55-inch smart TV, but there was no sound coming out. I had plugged in the audio cable, the HDMI cable, and the optical cable, but no sound when I played a video on the TV. So, I read the manual some more, and it said to go into the TV setup and adjust the audio settings. Finding that on my TV was a job. There are several options, but one of them worked finally. I really don't know what finally fixed it, because I had tried so many ways before it finally worked. And even that only worked when I waited a while or turned the TV off and back on again, something like that, then all of a sudden, the sound was coming out of both the sound bar and the bass woofer. It is a 5.25 inch woofer which gives out very good bass that rattles the wood on the desk. The sound bar comes in two pieces. One of them has all of the plugs and controls. The other one has no plugs or anything. All the time while setting it up I just thought that the thing was a wireless remote speaker. But, when the sound finally came on, that second piece of the soundbar had no sound. There was nothing in the instructions about it. However, upon further inspection by moi-meme, I realized that it was supposed to be physically connected to the other unit. Knowing which way to orient it before screwing it on took a little thought. There is a little arrow on the main one (with the plugs and stuff) showing the direction to turn it. However, you need to align the speaker side, and then turn it 1/4 turn in the opposite direction of the arrow, then push it in, and then turn it back 1/4 turn in the direction of the arrow. After doing that, I went back to the sofa and played a video of a rock band, and everything was working fine. There is no customer support for this product. It has some support.com address. I tried it, but here I am with it fixed already on my own, and I have still not received any kind of reply from them. I think that the product is a good one for the price. Another problem might have been because of my Insignia TV. When I looked for external audio devices, Insignia gave me a list that was very long, but it did not include Saiyin-Riowois, which is the brand name of this speaker system. So, I had to choose "other" on my selection list. I also have not had any luck yet in syncing my TV remote to the sound control. I need to use the two remotes, one for the TV and the other for the sound. Finally, this speaker system is totally worth the price. For a small den of 14 x 14 feet, the sound volume and quality is more than you probably need -- way more. I would buy another one of these.
