I saw other reviewers say that this didn't work with USBC to USBC cables. Not a problem for me, I'm using it with USBA to USBC cables so it works fine.But I tested it with a USBC to USBC and I can confirm it does not put out any voltage between the red and black wires in that case.However, I also found that if I used a USBC to USBA jack adapter with a USBA plug to USBC adapter it also works, which end to end gives a USBC to USBC.I read on wikipedia: "A dedicated charging port places a resistance not exceeding 200 Ω across the D+ and D− terminals."It might be that without this resistor the source device will not apply power to the pins. Or something else is needed that my quickie wiki read didn't catch. There might be other similar products out there that dance the right dance and work fine, I don't know.But this works great with USBA to USBC cables, or the C - A - A - C adapter stackup.

My son, who is a sophomore in college, bought these products. He is majoring in computer science. He said that Type C interfaces are now popular. Buying these products can be used to modify or build a lot of charging and experimental supplies. The quality of these interfaces is very good. I recommend them. Bought for electronics enthusiasts

On each picture this USBC port is in the right corner of the picture (by coincidence only) but anyway my only complaint is that if I need just the connectors at the back of each port it is very hard to get to. The wires they provide are ok but I need either differant colors or they aren't long enough or they are the wrong gauge. When ur working in very tight areas its hard to use the gauge wires they provide it they put on a more flexible wire with silicone insulation these would be perfect.
