I bought this to help prevent my young children from riding their bikes into the street when playing in the driveway.Very easy to install, it took me all of maybe 15 minutes to unbox it, make the holes, and set it up. You have to make sure the PVC pipes that go into the ground go in completely level, otherwise the retraction device will not work well. It states to do this in the directions, though.Now, I've read several reviews that say that a kid can figure out how to get under it, yadda yadda. Well, if you want to truly stop a toddler or child from getting past an obstacle, then build a true fence, and put gates over your driveway. No reasonable person looks at a mesh gate and thinks, hey, this will totally stop my kid from going around it or under it.What is it supposed to do? It is supposed to stop balls from rolling in the street. But, it also stops my kids from riding their bikes or skateboards into the street, too. That's what it's designed for.What's better is, when people drive by my house now, they see the bright orange mesh and immediately slow down. I think it is making people more alert that they need to be on the look out for kids. My neighbors were so impressed that they are buying one, too -- so with a couple of these next to each other, drivers on the road will probably have even more caution.Great product, easy to install, does what it is supposed to do.

I bought this to keep my dogs segregated to a portion of the yard when needed. The actual fence part works really well. It can be a hassle to prevent the netting from getting bunched up, and I wish the internal spring was stronger. Also, the pvc mount points that came with it are cheap, one of mine broke. Do yourself a favor and get some galvanized pipe to use for mounts.

This product is extremely easy to use. We purchased it because we live on a very busy street with a big driveway. I have four kids and the youngest twins like to wander. Our driveway goes all the way beside our house clear back to the alley so we positioned the Driveway Guard between our house and our neighbors fence so the twins, or anybody for that matter, can't get in front of the house.As others stated, it was easiest to position the PVC sleeves by running a stake of some-sort first. I just had big yellow tent stakes so I used one of them to pilot and the PVC hammered in really easily. I installed it myself in about 2 minutes. It retracts very easily...slow and steady and keeping it level makes it fool proof. (We have the 25' guard for our 22' wide driveway)Our kids know not to mess with the Driveway Guard. They know it is not for playing and it is not an intentional ball back-stop. If your kids know the ground rules the structure of it won't be an issue. NO, this is not a babysitter, and kids still need watching. The Driveway Guard provides a visual barrier that the kids obey. It is amazing peace of mind to know we can be working in the garage while the kids play and they won't wander up to the front of the house. We like that the orange guard draws attention to cars so they know there are kids playing.

I've owned this for one year and it still functions perfectly. The PVC ends will never fail, of course, so I'll report on the netting. The netting has shown no signs of wear or tear. It still retracts with minimal effort and rolls up neatly, with proper guidance. I would say that the net does stop a majority of the runaway basketballs. It's a good height and doesn't move much at all, so long as the PVC ends are properly planted into the larger PVC holders. I have purchased a few different products manufactured by KidKusion and I have been pleased with all of them. This product was purchased for the purpose of safety, although it provides a great deal of convenience as well. I purchased it for $110 (approximately) last year. While I would purchase it again for the same amount, I do believe that it was overpriced (4 stars). It's currently selling for $85 on Amazon (12/2017).***Update- 3.5 years later and no issues. The net still retracts as good as the first time. I've always stored in the garage when not in use. No rust, no color fading, no complaints. It's worked for it's intended purpose..... Safety. Not a fan of this but I’m keeping it. Even though we pulled it tight across our driveway it still dips down in the middle. And due to how short it is the kids can reach the top and pull it down. I like that it’s orange which helps as a visual caution to cars driving past our driveway. Certainly isn’t full proof but it will do.
