I have no complaints. I use this reel (50) on a short boat pole for “ under the boat” drifting off the jersey coast for summer fluke. No disappointments. Us 8 to 10 oz. Sinkers to hold bottom. Just purchased the 60 and put it on a little heavier pole to handle a swifter current / drift. Can’t wait 2 put it to the test. My current setup is light & comfortable to use all day long without a struggle.

It's hard trying to convince someone else to buy something with their money, just because you like it..?🤔 My story is I've got five of them. Three of the 40s and two of the '50s and I use them regularly for catfish for a couple of years now. They're great reels, You've already heard it, it's just the truth they're great reels! Very smooth and they stay smooth over the years. The cast far and smooth as well. You bring in big catfish as they should without any problems. And I've used them for years without any problems on any of them. I just don't know where I can get an equal quality product at the same price for me this is the best real out there for the price. They're definitely worth more than what you're going to be for it. If you pick one up and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and I hope it's as good to you as mine have been to me! ☝️😎

I meant to order the #50, but accidentally ordered the #40. I wanted the 50 because of the handle,since I will be using it mostly for striped bass, blackfish and bluefish.Since I had a trip already scheduled, I decided to go ahead and try the #40 out.It's loaded with 40lb braid.I caught a couple of nice sized blackfish, and the reel had plenty of drag to get them out of the rocks and into the boat.Also landed a 40" shark with no problems.The reel felt solid and worked perfectly all day.Using a bottom rig with an 8oz sinker, there wasn't much casting going on. But I had no problems flipping it out away from the boat without backlash.Probably still going to order a #50 at some point.I also have a Torrent, which is an amazing value.I truly like their reels.
