I kind of bought this on a whim after a discussion about portable "cooling" technology. I can't say I feel any cooler, though I do notice a bit less sticky sweat on my neck and forehead while using it during a more intense activity. The included instructions were pretty much useless as they described a completely different model, something about a red light (mines got green and only green) and opening and closing vents, which mine doesn't have. It's a bit heavier and louder than expected, but it appears solidly built. I do have the occasional problem with it trying to snag any little loose hairs, but so far no damage to myself or the device. Battery life is a bit shorter than I'd like, might get 2-3 hours at low. All in all, cooling would be any exaggeration, it's more like a neck and head dehumidifier. Still, quite a useful thing in a humid coastal city.

Amazing ho a little breeze around your neck can make a huge difference in the heat. I love this thing in hot days. Worth every penny
