I was apprehensive when I received the hat, as the material is the one umbrellas are made of. I thought it will not be effective in hot weather, and the shiny look will make it feel gaudy. Then I tested it out in 32° in sunny weather and it actually kept my head cool, comfy and ventilated. It also looked quite cool 😎 The brim is quite wide, and it has a flexibility that I have not seen in other hats. I could twist any portion of rim up or down for the visibility I needed, and it stayed that way without getting permanently distorted. The tightener at the back of the head means I did not have to use the string in light wind. It's a flexibility I don't have in my other hats. The only thing is...it's maroon, not red. Now I have a hat that saves me from sun and rain and looks cool, all at the same time! Love it !😊😊

I had earlier selected a hat from other seller and had to return that, as that was some bigger in size. That was not having the small belt or rope on top of hat for tightening adjusting as per head size. This cap's fabric quality is good & it has belt/rope on the hat to tightening adjusting. Must buy without doubt. Thanks to the seller & Amazon.
