These safety eyes are great! They can be used with or without the glitter insert, but why wouldn’t you add glitter to any toy?? The colors are pretty. The backings went on easily for me, contrary to some of the reviews I saw. I’m 75 and I didn’t need superhuman strength to get them all the way on. However I do think it would take superhuman strength to get them off, so they seem very safe!

At first I thought I was sold clear eyes, no color. BUT buried in the middle of the bag I found another small bag of color discs to add to the eyes. Took off one star as there is absolutely no literature with this product and i didn’t happen across the small hidden bag until after my project was finished-with it clear eyes, not the pretty colored ones i wanted.I think something as simple as a sticker on the bag with picture instructions or simply showing that the color for the eyes are packed separately would have eliminated this error—As i originally believed I was sold a product with false advertising.Oddly enough AFTER the fact when i came back to leave review I saw a video add for this same product showing all the parts and that they need to be assembled. If they put money into a video add, couldn’t that money be better spent on packaging the item so that it’s not misleading?

These are AMAZING.The eyes come with a protective film over each of them, and after installing I understand why! They GLISTEN. Truly high quality, beautiful safety eyes!If that wasn’t enough, the backings for these eyes are extremely securing. Working with chenille blanket yarn and 6.5mm crochet hook for amigurami, every other eyes I’ve used before buying these required an additional washer to secure them. I’m very pleased that I don’t have to make an additional trip to the hardware store for these!These eyes install with the upmost security, giving me the confidence that they’re going to last as long as my amigurami does, and look beautiful the entire time too.Very impressed with this product, and I will certainly be back for all my future needs. There aren't many eyes I can find in this size, so I tried these. Best safety eyes I've used! The number feels a little misleading, but I make sure to read carefully, so I knew I was only getting 12 pairs of eyes, despite the "48 piece" that it says. It's 24 fronts and 24 backs. Still, the colors shine and bring so much more life to my small stuffed animals than any other I've tried. My only regret is that they don't have larger packs available, because I'd really like to get even more per pack. 100% am using only Mucunnia going forward if I can help it.

I bought a bunch of these eyes from my crochet plushies. The 30mm and 35mm. At first these eyes looked great. They are clear, the colors are good and the backing seemed secure. Well a couple of months after I finished my plushies some of the eyes are suddenly popping out and some of them are still secure. I now have a lot of plushies that only have one eye now. These plushies weren’t even used. They were just sitting on a shelf. This is extremely disappointing as I normal sell these plushies and now I can’t. I always check the eyes to make sure they are secure before I close my plushies and they were so I have no idea what happened. So please just beware, if you decide these eyes, they aren’t very secure. I sure wasted my money on these.

Love these. Though I wish they could be purchased in larger quantities as well as selectable colors.
