Exactly what we needed for our hot tub

I have been using name brand Dimension One Vision filters for over 25 years and have never had a problem with any of them. The name brand version is getting more expensive so this time I decided to try a less pricey alternative for the first time. Big mistake. While the plastic case looks just like a Dimension One (and fits like one), that is where the similarity ends. Poorly made. Within the first week a large amount of the internal silver and charcoal crystals were out of the unit and now on the bottom of my hot tub (the plastic unit remained visibly intact so must have come out of the flow through holes) . I have NEVER had that happen with a genuine Vision filter. I'm going back to the name brand in the future.

This looks just like my original D1 sanitizer, which needs to be replaced every 6 months. The costs is less than half of the original. From what I can tell it works just as good. My water chemistry actually seems a little better.

Very similar shape and build quality to OEM, though there’s an extra ring protrusion in the middle that doesn’t impact the fit. It sits fine on the “castle top” filters used in my D1 Amore Bay.

Looks the same, but about 1/2 the weight of the original spa manufacturers OEM sanitizer disc. Copy contains no SILVER pellets (silver is a natural anti-bacteria mineral) see pic. I guess at a 1/3 of the cost of the original OEM type, you really get what you pay for.
