Great Honda pump. Starts first time every time. Pumps quickly and efficiently. Purchased the OEM Honda hose kit - suction is great. Almost no assembly- add gas & oil, connect hoses, get pumping!

Awesome pump, I use one of these at work and I recently bought one for home use. Be sure that the suction hose connection is a perfect seal because even a tiny leak will prevent the pump from priming. A slightly deformed end fitting can stop it from sealing. If truck-mounted, always shut off the fuel valve after use. Vibration can flood the float bowl and cause starting problems, especially if parked on a hill. Starts up best with throttle set to 1/3 as per the instructions. If you flood it, turn choke off, open throttle all the way, and pull it through a couple of times.

Bought an off brand last time and it didn't work for a month. This one appears to be a real Honda and has worked for six months pumping leachate (garbage juice) out of an active landfill into the sewer pipe. and it is left outside every night, it is a harsh environment that will beat up the best of pumps. It still works fine.

Starts first time, every time. Worth the extra cost over cheaper pumps because of its reliability. Puts out about 10,000 gallons per hour. A real workhorse.

I bought this water pump back in 2021 for our tree farm. We used it about 6 months before it quit working. We found an authorized repairshop near us. They had it for 2 months and sent it back saying it was fixed. First time we fired it up, water started spraying out of every possible part. We cut it off to grab a camera to show repair shop, but could never get it started again. We brought it back to the repair place. Again they had it for about 2 months and said it was fixed. We brought it back to the farm, and never could get it started. Took it to another authorized repair place. They had it for another 2 months. Called and said they thought they found the problem put would have to disassemble the motor. They called two week later saying it was unfixable and to come pick it up. They gave us the pump back as parts in a box. I called Honda as it was still within the first year. I got a call back wanted to go over details, again, and get the contact information for the repair places. They said they'd call back. It's now been over a year. Never heard back from Honda. The Predator pump we bought at the same time, and a second Predator pump bought to use while the Honda was in the shop, are both working perfectly and half the cost. Will NEVER purchase anything Honda again.
