Nicely made. I suggest getting 1 foot or more data wire for each battery as well as charging cable the same length or longer so that they reach outside the box to your charger. It comes with a mount for your charger to sit on top. I suggest getting even longer wires so that your charger is not on top the box. If a battery were to burst into flames, you don't want your charger on top the box as it has vents on top. To put a charger away from the box, you will need 2-3 foot of wire. Hope this helps. The product is great! Best out there in my opinion.

This is a great product if you are charging LiPo batteries. I can walk away from them charging and know my house won’t burn down. I hope I never have to test it. We sleep a little better knowing our RC car batteries are stored in the box when not being used. I think we might pick up another one for other lithium batteries around the house. We only have 4 2S lipos so there is plenty of room in the box. This is nice, as they aren’t crammed in. Overall, it is a nice product. It’s built well and looks fun too. My daughter loves the bat logo on it.

Very well made and the stand was easy to attach. Easily fits my two 3S Traxxas lipos and 3 other smaller batteries. Hoping I never have to witness if it does its job but it's a better piece of mind than a lipo bag.

Everyone who charges lithium batteries should have one of these. I am experienced and have been charging my Li-Po batteries for years now and have never had a problem; until yesterday. Even though I took every precaution to charge and store my batteries safely, this one time is all it took to burn my house down; that is if I didn't have my Bat-safe! The day before this happened, I had charged 3 batteries in the Bat-safe and used 2 before running out of sunlight. I left the 3rd inside the safe with the intention of using it the next morning. The next morning I woke up and was getting some work done when I noticed smoke starting to fill my room. I started to check various rooms unsure what was burning when it dawned on me to check the Bat-Safe. I never figured this battery would fail since it had been nearly 24 hours since charging and was just sitting in the bat-safe. Needless to say this product saved my home and everything inside. The only damage was to the Bat-safe, my parallel board, and of course the battery. I am placing another order right now for this product and if you have lithium batteries, you should too!

Choice reasoning- I surveyed the ammo cans, the Lipo bags, and decided to go with this Bat-safe Outer dimensions: 12*9*7 inch / 305*230*178mm. Reasons were price, safety, and functionality. The smaller one was too small, the larger was too deep, and this one was easy to carry, put in the car, and move on work cart. I had seen where folks were using lipo bags in ammo cans, but I was looking for something to filter the smoke particles. Build Quality- The build quality appears to be good. During charge mine holds two 6s 4000Mah batteries ok. Will store more, but don't go over vendors limit 2pc 6S 5000mAh equivalent. On my setup, I ordered extension cables to connect the balancing lines and XT60s to the battery charger. It's a tight fit squeezing the cables into the provided access hole, but the rubber 2 piece plug separates, and used a plastic driver (not provided) to reset into slot. Cons maybe- Gave 4 star rating only because the bracket, which is to hold the charger on, was kind of small, charger kept falling off and found awkward to use. But that's ok, it's an option, and ended up placing the charger right next to the side of box, making it easier to set charge parameters. Other items to consider- As an early detector, I also placed a dual sensor smoke detector on top of the bat-safe. I never-ever leave the room while charging, but if working in the same room, might give me a few extra seconds to react. Purchased dual sensor smoke alarm here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O8MVW0S?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 As the batteries are charged, I move to an ammo can purchased at Harbor Freight. I place everything on a cooking sheet setting on top of a roller cart near an outside door. If anything starts to smoke, it's easy to grab and roll outside. Oh, keep a fire extinguisher handy, and a pair of heavy weight camping gloves, not on the cart, but maybe 6ft away easy to grab.
