How long does it take for the machine to warm up?

A couple of minutes at most. It's quicker than boiling the kettle and you get a nicer coffee. Win win!

Is this machine plastic

Most of the case is plastic. The drip tray crate is metal but yeah, most is plastic. The machine looks super cute and while it worked - it made great coffee however the joy was short-lived as after about 20 uses-the pressure went down and coffee dripped literally drop ….. by …..drop . To make 1 espresso took 10 minutes. I had to return unfortunately 😕

Can you use lavazza fresh coffee or is this for pods only?

Can pods from Tassimo or nespresso work in this machine?

It's for ground coffee and pods,not sure what pods you can use, but it does take pods.
