Perfect for light duty (non climbing) utility
These are well made, very nicely finished, and operate smoothly. Perfect for hanging stuff off backpacks, bags, helping to secure things in the back of a van or SUV, etc. Wouldn't ever want to try to see if the 12KN spec is true - if I needed a carabiner to support heavy things, I'd get a "real" one. But for everyday use, these are great - they look good and work well.

Strong dependable carabiner
Carabiner that is used to hold my keys daily. It is secure and not too heavy. Very strong and sturdy. Clips easily to my belt. Looks standard.

Good
They seem good and strong. I like this latch style over the springy bar style, which always breaks on me. But the hook that catches the latch wire, works against you when your trying to remove it from something.

Perfect for utility needs
At 12 kN these are quite strong. For supporting humans off the ground the 16 kN strength is commonly preferred. For everything else these are perfect. They are a little more substantial than other 12 kN 'biners I have. I used several of these 'biners to secure my dog in the yard--a 70-pound flat-coated retriever. She is strong enough to wreck a wire crate (and that was before she grew up). She is eager to socialize with other dogs. When she wants to socialize she is VERY determined. These carabiners have stood up to her active testing. For many people the concept of "12 kN" is fuzzy. It means 12 kilo Newtons, or 12,000 Newtons in the SI system. This converts to 2,698 pounds force in the Imperial system. According to Wikipedia, "The pound-force is equal to the gravitational force exerted on a mass of one avoirdupois pound on the surface of Earth." What does this mean? ** If an object weighs one pound (mass), sitting on the ground, and you pick it up, you exerted 1 pound of force. This is equal to 4.45 Newtons. ** If you weigh 225 pounds and jump up, the minimum force you must exert is 225 pounds force, or 1,000 Newtons. That's 1 kN. ** If twelve people who weigh 225 pounds lift off the ground, the minimum force is 12 kN. Anyway, I'm pleased with this set of four carabiners. Love the variety of colors available, too.

Good quality
Good quality. Have attached to my hiking backpack and have only used to hang stuff around camp. Light duty use but no issues so far.
