THE ULTiMATE iN CLASSiC BiG HONKiN ULTRA COOL DiVERS: THE HOCKEY PUCK
i've wanted one of these for a long time, and it may have satisfied my need for any more watches. admittedly, i've already purchased some 50 amazing dive watches, so that's part of the reason, but this is such a satisfying 'hockey puck' (as it's called) for someone in love with giant legit dive watches, that it may be all i've ever needed. and if that's your thing, maybe you too. as a review, we already know it's huge, however because of there being no lugs, it wears shockingly well for such a huge watch (i'm a 7" wrist). while heavy and 18mm thick, it balances and sits quite well, if that's a concern. as for everything else, it's all good (as they say). no bezel alignment issues with this or any Citizen as with one other infamous Japanese powerhouse brand. in fact everything is superbly and accurately built and put together. the lume is stunning and equal to first class anywhere. the bezel is what diver nuts dream about: locked in, no backplay, perfectly aligned. that strap is a stiff one, like none other. but since this is foremost a world class diver, the strap qualifies as that and will after a half-dozen wearings conform to your wrist as if molded. personally i love the slight dome on the crystal, and in true diver fashion it is mineral glass to prevent shattering for use as a pro-diver. the bezel is one of the most enjoyable to dial, and even the 60 clicks are a joy...who needs 120. the only issue i should mention is one common to all quartz: the secs hand hitting the markers right on. after fully charged i've found it does one of the better quartz movement jobs of nailing markers...this one hitting right on virtually 100% of the time after a day of being charged (was hitting a little off, but after more of a charge it's amazing). Citizen is one of the best in this dept, tho i did need to return one of these (the yellow strap) a year ago over that issue. thankfully that wasn't the case here as i fell in love with this out the box. speaking of which, given that this was first offered in 2013, it's truly 'vintage'. not sure when this one was made, but it barely had a charge from being in the box. once sunlight hit it, it have a 2sec/2single sec movement, which means it had totally lost it's charge. after research i found when that happens, to charge it with the crown fully out for at least a minute, then if wanted you can keep charging with it in. that tells the watch to reset, and it will begin going in the normal undercharged 2sec intervals. at that point it was so low it took 10 hours under a fluorescent light to get to one sec intervals, and another few hours as well to hit the markers spot on. i've found that with solar watches, if they're low charged, even if not 2sec intervaling, they tend to be slightly less accurate on the markers (clearly an issue with me). Citizens are scads better at quartz/marker accuracy than that other Japanese maker, but the only quartz watches i've found to literally nail the markers with the sec hand are very high end: the $600 Citizen satellite controlled solar diver and the $1800 ($2700 retail) solar diver...both of which i have. do note, i love this $325 Citizen every bit as much as those, and it indeed has just as much wrist presence or more.

nothing better for the price
The "Eco Zilla arrived on time and in perfect condition. Upon opening and unpacking your impressed by the quality without even picking up the watch. As stated by many others this is not your" fathers Citizen" by any means , but once you get used to the size you find it wears much easier than one would think by looking at it . The build quality is excellent and without fault. The band is stiff but you would not want a flimsy band for this watch and the stainless steel buckle also has a high polish and finish to it. If you take care of this watch your kids kids will have it to enjoy. You must excercize care in screwing down the crown as its stiff to press in and screw but you get used to this you wont cross thread it. While the titanium one is lighter I dont think the cost difference makes it that much better , and besides stainless steel is very good looking and much more scratch resistant. I dont scuba dive but then many buyers dont dive either and really watches are much like any other accessory, its a matter of choice. As watch sizes go there are bigger watches than this but for me this is about as big as I would go. The watch keeps perfect time and you will find it a joy to own as Eco drive watches take the hassle out of battery changing chores and they last a long long time. I have many eco drives and one is at least ten years old and going strong and the case has never been opened. I know the seals are supposed to be checked and replaced every two years , but unless you dive with it , I dont do this. All in all as a gift for your husband or boy friend or any guy that likes watches you wont go wrong with this watch.

A serious dive watch for serious divers
This like others have mentioned this is a heavy real deal dive watch, If you want something that looks cool and had a big gigantic crown so people notice you and or watch go ahead and buy an invicta or something. This citizen as well as Seiko divers are the pieces of artwork and serve as a tool for us divers but also have beauty so when we slip out of our wetsuit and into our business suit we don't have to change watches all the time. This watch was as described and has performed flawlessly. The only thing that was mentioned is its ability as a uni directional 120 bezel but it only turns one direction though it is tight and clearly quality Made. Great watch with great warranty and price. Buy with confidence in my opinion especially if you are a diver or will be planning to, otherwise might not be an everyday wear as it is heavy and beautiful

Outstanding Watch
I purchased this watch due to it's beauty, size and durability. It comes in a square really nice zippered case that has an extender band and the associated watch literature. This is a quality timepiece. The watch is large but it feels right on the wrist. You will definitely be noticed and stand out with this watch. I walked into an upscale local jewelry store the other day that sells Rolex and other high end watches to get a battery replaced in an old watch of mine. The owners of the store asked about my Citizen Dive Watch when they immediately noticed it. I have had nothing but compliments since I purchased this watch. I get stopped all the time by people inquiring about the watch and where they can get one. You really have to see it to appreciate the size and beauty of this watch. You can't go wrong with this purchase. If you want a watch that will become your standard time piece for any occasion, i.e. dress up or casual then this is the watch for you. Moreover, if you are not sure of the watch due to the rubber watch band you can purchase an adapter from a company called Suppa Parts that allows you to utilize conventional watch bands, i.e. leather, stainless steel, etc. They have a large selection of watch bands designed specifically for this watch. Again, you definitely can't go wrong with a purchase of this watch. Amazon's customer service, reliability and quality are another factor that makes this purchase easy.
