This does not have a liner but it does not slip. It is a lovely tablecloth and a beautiful addition to my dining room table.

No, that’s actually why I rarely use this table cloth. It’s beautiful but it slides all over. I have an unvarnished wood table and it still slides.

I am confused about the demensions. if my square table is 42x42, would the 52x52 table cloth fit (with an appropriate over hang)? thanks in advance!

Figure five inches down for each side measure from the top of your table down. You may want the next size up and that size might be too long.
