The media could not be loaded.  This is very a nice set of two personal safety alarms, with sound and a bright flashing light.I bought this to take with me when I go running. I feel so much safer running in the city by myself with this alarm. I've been thinking of getting one for years and decided not to wait for something to happen to make me finally purchase one.Besides using while running, I plan to take it with me hiking in the woods. If any bears get curious around me, this thing should spook them! The sound is pretty darn loud. And the strobe light adds to the effect.I'm going to give the second alarm to my mother for safety reasons. It brings us all peace of mind to have this on hand.It's super simple to set the alarm off. Just pull the top out of the body of the device and it goes off automatically. No buttons to fumble for. Just a quick pull and you're good. The included carabiners are an awesome bonus. They are sturdy and well made. Very happy with the purchase and glad I finally ordered some portable alarms.

This is a very nice device that is compact but very loud! It comes in a package of 2. It was perfect for me since I have 2 high school age girls. I believe that it would definitely be loud enough to scare anyone away. The ring to hold it on to a purse or bookbag is about the same size as the device. I am not one that gives a rating of "5" often but there is no reason to give this less than 5. I gave it as a Christmas gift and both of my girls attached it to their personal bags. Great gift and great extra piece of mind for a father!

I have tried various devices to find one that is truly loud. This one is definitely loud! I gave it four stars because I cannot find any information about whether or not I would be able to replace the battery in it. I don’t want to throw away the whole device when the battery is depleted. Does anybody know if the battery can be replaced by the owner?

I live in relatively safe neighborhood that always has a lot of cars going by the main street, but over the last couple of years, there have been a lot more incidents occurring. I hear sirens and see police cars far more often then I used to.I walk my dog several times a day, and although I feel safe (lots of dogs in the neighborhood) the area seems to slowly be getting worse and worse with homeless and crime.I don't like to carry my phone on me on walks, so I wanted a small personal alarm I could keep attached to my dog leash. And this item is perfect! It's light-weight but don't let that fool you! Between the sound (140db) and flashing led lights, this little guy packs a punch that will definitely scare off someone AND get the attention of others! The top portion comes out of the main body to activate and you do have to give it some pull to separate but I think this is a good thing. It's hard enough so I won't accidentally pull it (especially being on my dog's leash), but easiest enough that my 70+ year old mom can easily activate it. The top portion slides back in to the body to stop the alarm and lights.Very happy with my purchase! And love the color!!

Pro: Strong light strobeCon: Alarm goes off at the smallest movement. The piece when pulled should klick into the alarm. The pull just sits on the alarm. So hanging on the purse is no good unless you don't touch the purse. Same problem with putting the alarm inside the pocket of the pants or jacket.I would not recommend this personal alarm.

Not really that loud and almost too easy to set off. I had it on my keys and I set it off tossing things in my car. I think it’s better than nothing but I thought it would be louder

The media could not be loaded.  I've attached one of these alarms to my purse and another to my bike basket - it gives me an additional sense of security when I'm out on my own. I find this especially valuable as the evenings are getting darker earlier and I'm walking or biking home in the dark.The alarm is very loud and has a flashing light when you pull the top off. I was initially concerned that the top might pull off on its own while living in my purse - but that hasn't been a problem at all.I also like the large brass connectors that I can attach to nearly anything.Overall, great little device that I would recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  I was initially looking for some way to keep myself a little safer when I am alone in a parking lot or leaving work at night or just in a situation where I want to feel protected, but I don't like the idea of carrying a firearm or even pepper spray. These came as a two pack so I keep one on my keychain and one in my vehicle and they are very loud as you can hear in my video and I like the color and style of it. It just gives me an extra sense of security that I didn't have before. The price point was very reasonable and filled the need without making me resort to having to carry something that I'm uncomfortable using. I definitely recommend.
