Perfect but slight flaw in vertical stance
Great device works as described. Only problem for me . With limit space I wanted to place my ps2 vertically standing but where the power supply for the device is location means the lead hits the floor before the ps2 does . Horizontally should be perfect for anyone else

Easy to set up and great to use
Works great and easy to set up as long as you follow the clear instructions. I had to use the 'blind' set up instructions and it still worked perfectly. Was initially nervous as I hadn't ever turned the Ps2 on as I had just bought it from CeX but it worked perfectly and I got it to display first time. Highly recommended as a good cheap option.

Affordable & simply way to bring picture quality improvement
Arrived defect free, no issues with getting HDMI signal working on older LED TV. Big improvement over yellow composite signal. No significant issues when playing Gran Turismo 4 (PAL version), can be hesitant to enter B-spec menu in race. I had hoped to be able to use a PC monitor but it only accepts 1080p signals, I like my PS2 but not enough to purchase an expensive upscaler. As a consequence of using the device I have found my AV output socket was bent so it made the insertion a little difficult.

Pleasantly surprised..
This worked surprisingly well. There's loads of them out there so I bought this one as a shot in the dark, but it's actually made a noteable difference. I appreciate the PS2 has it's limitations, the picture quality is only going to get so good, but for 15 quid this was worth a punt. Any improvement on a 50" inch HD telly is welcomed. Just be aware this only works with PS2 games. You cannot use it to play original PlayStation games.

Can't handle resolution changes - makes it unusable
Received my order today, followed instructions to the letter. Mini-USB into USB port of PS2 (with no other appliance connected to the 2nd USB port), all connected up well, had switched the PS2 output mode to the Ybpr as required. Initially on the "home" screen worked great - looked clear and well-defined. Upon starting a game however, the signal cuts out and in, eventually leaving me with an entire pitch black screen. Tried this with several games, both PS and PS2, with varying degrees of success. I could barely see the iconic PS logo before a black screen on the PS games. With the PS2, I got to a menu prompting me to select English, after that complete pitch black screen. Saw in another review it's because the device can't handle resolution changes, meaning it cuts out sometimes. Defeats the entire purpose of a capture device, and in my case it's entirely unusable. Vastly disappointed and a serious waste of money.

Hit and miss
The good: Packaged with instructions that are easy to follow. Works on both slim and original models. Mini usb to usb cable supplied. Inexpensive. The not so good: The mini usb cable very nearly gets in the way of the slim model's power cable. As others have said, you couldn't have stood it on its side. Image is noticeably darker.

Plug and play
If you're looking for a way to play your favorite Playstation 2 games on a modern TV, the Kaico Edition Playstation 2 PS2 HDMI Converter is an excellent option. This device is designed to convert the PS2's AV output to an HDMI signal, making it easy to connect your PS2 to a TV or monitor that only has an HDMI input. One of the key benefits of this converter is its ease of use. Simply plug it into your PS2, connect an HDMI cable to your TV, and you're good to go. The picture quality is excellent, with crisp and clear visuals that bring your games to life. In terms of build quality, the Kaico Edition converter feels solid and well-made. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and store. The plug and play design means that there's no need for any complicated setup or software installation, making it an excellent option for those who aren't tech-savvy. One thing to keep in mind is that this converter only supports outputting at 720p, so if you have a TV or monitor that supports higher resolutions, you won't be able to take advantage of that. However, for the price, the picture quality is still excellent and more than sufficient for most users. Overall, if you're looking for an easy and affordable way to play your PS2 games on a modern TV, the Kaico Edition Playstation 2 PS2 HDMI Converter is definitely worth considering. It's a great option for anyone who wants to relive their childhood gaming memories without having to sacrifice picture quality.

Wichtig. Das Ausgangssignal muss wie beschrieben umgestellt werden. Danach läuft der Adapter einwandfrei. Klar das die Spiele PS/2 Grafik behalten jedoch ist diese auch gestochen scharf. So macht Need for Speed etc. wieder richtig Spaß. Absolutes „Must have“ um weitere 20 Jahre mit der PS/2 zu haben.

I've been trying different PS2 to HDMI converters through the years, ever since I brought my PS2 out of storage. The one I stuck with the longest was Levelhike. It had pretty good quality, especially for the price. I also just didn't want to break the bank with those high end converters (often costing over 100 dollars) so it was good enpugh for me. After about 2 years though, I got curious and wanted to see if I could find anything better. I decided to just keep trying out different HDMI converters in hopes that I could find better quality. I saw a video on YouTube talking about different HDMI converters and surprisingly no one mentioned Kaico. It was from a comment that I saw someone recommend it. I had bought and tried it for myself and they were completely right. Kaico's HDMI converter looked absolutely stunning compared to Levelhike. The colors were better, the on-screen text and textures looked sharper, and the image mostly filled the screen (just had 2 small black bars on the sides but you don't notice them). I have to say that I'm very surprised and impressed by the quality. I had tried another brand before this, ElectronPulse, and they had all sorts of demonstrations and reviews on their website of how "high tech" their HDMI converter was. I wasn't too impressed by it when I personally tried it out. It felt on par with Levelhike, and honestly, I kind of felt like it may have even been a step down in visual quality, but there were times where I couldn't clearly tell unless I took a side by side picture (which I didn't do but I wish I did). But anyway, I highly recommend you try out Kaico's HDMI converter. Its honestly really good. I tried it on both a Samsung and Sony TV and it worked on both. I had a weird issue where Levelhike wouldn't work on my Sony. It would be weirdly stretched out and if you looked closely, the image would have a staticky shaking effect. It was bizarre and even the company couldn't answer me as to why it wasn't compatible. But I'm happy to say that Kaico works great on my Sony. On a side note, I'd also recommend Zeskit Maya's 8k HDMI cables. They're 2.1 certified and one of the best on the market at an affordable price. They really help bring the most out of my consoles, especially the PS2. You won't regret it.

I was using composite cables before and upgrading to this Kaico HDMI makes a huge difference. Games look much more crisp and the game text is super clean and easy to read. It basically cleans all the smudgy, blurriness of composite. Games that support progressive scan benefit even more from this HDMI adaptor. There is no difference in the input delay and now my PS2 can be connected to any modern HD TV. For this to be perfect, I wish it didn't need the USB charger like the original Xbox adaptor but it's ok.
