Lurch 1-Piece Potato Masher Stainless Steel

I have been looking for a potato masher that parallels the one from my youth. My mother had one for years that we used frequently for our family of eleven. I kept picking up other varieties and always put them back, as they seemed to be made of cheap material, and I suspect, would easily break.This product is well made, easy to use, and will likely last for many years.

This potato masher is ten times stronger than my old one. It is super solid and easy to wash up. I have no regrets about purchasing it. It’s a bit more costly than some others but will last me forever.

Der Kartoffelstampfer von Lurch ist jeden Cent wert. Er ist gut verarbeitet und sehr leicht zu reinigen. Im Vergleich zu den üblichen Stampfern geht das Stampfen der Kartoffeln mit diesem hier sehr viel schneller von der Hand. Auch das Ergebnis ist sehr viel gleichmäßiger als mit anderen Kartoffelstampfern. Durch den Griff im Querformat hat man ordentlich Halt und kann zügig und sicher arbeiten.Ich würde den Kartoffelstampfer auch an meine Freunde verschenken, und das will was heißen!Ich gebe eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung für dieses tolle Produkt.

I love this masher… we always buy a 10 kilo bag of Maris piper potatoes, peel them all, season them with salt and boil them all together in a large saucepan. When cooked I add a big knob of butter and put the pan in the sink so it’s nice an low… I then mash them with my new “Lurch” heavy duty one piece potato masher. When cooled I weigh them into 450 grams portions put them into takeaway containers and freeze them. The flat straight pushing handle is much easier and more effective than the normal pointy ended types that hurt the inside of the palm of your hands when you push them into the potatoes. I found mine a little strange at first, but soon got the hang of it, and now I wouldn’t go back to the old types. I’ve found it a great buy! I think it’s much easier to work around the outside of the pan when mashing, then work into the middle.
