Masculine watch with touch of sophistication
I bought a Skagen watch , not too dissimilar, 3 years ago from a High Street jeweller. My partner wore said watch continuously , however two or three strands of the wire plaited bracelet began to rise proud of the bracelet. Obviously this could scratch or cut skin so the watch was grounded till such times as I can return to the jeweller to ask if it could be mended.I put the damage down to the fact that the watch was well and truly battered about about in the kayak and the boat.Come Christmas time I saw the Titanium watch , as featured , and the price was fabulous , in comparison to what I paid previously. My partner is lost without a watch and decided to take the chance and buy it.I am delighted , as is he , with this watch. It is very thin and sits very comfortably on the wrist [ I quote ]The face is quite large , however the fact that the face is of a grey to suit the bracelet , it is not obvious ly huge. The date is easy to read as are the numeric figures .The watch is very masculine and it looks more expensive than it is.One delighted partner and one who has been warned to treat it as a gentleman and not as a navvy when out on the briny

Super Thin and Elegant
I wanted to replace an unreliable and too-chunky watch with something very thin, simple, readable, made of titanium. Having had another Skagen (a gold plated "dress" watch) for some years I sought similar size but had to do some searching for this present one as there seems to be a move to these huge "bling" type monsters, and Skagen have not been immune to these trends. This model meets all my needs and would appear to be of high quality and hopefully long-lasting. It was easy to set up the date feature, which entails setting the previous day and then winding to the present day to ensure the correct AM/PM mode.Just one gripe-I suspect that this model is not current as it came with a Euro price tag still attached-presumably sourced from the Continent; that doesn't bother me at all, and it was delivered within 2 days; but it was dead! I had to get a new battery fitted at extra cost. Minus points here for Amazon.

Why send out watches with expired batteries?
The watch was not working. The battery was obviously used up. I requested a replacement. The replacement was exactly the same..I returned both items a week ago . One was acknowledged as having been dropped off but the other seems to have disappeared despite the post office assistant scanning the qr code.

super quick delivery in a well packaged on a padded ...
1st impression review as the watch only arrived today.Received this afternoon, super quick delivery in a well packaged on a padded cushion in a box within a sleeve within a plastic bag within a padded Amazon box. No problems there then. The watch itself looks gorgeous with a dark (darker than the photos in natural light) with very clear numerals, hour and minute hands that have a modicum of luminosity. The small date window is readable at the six o'clock position. The biggest (arguably smallest) thing you notice is how slim the case is. When on the wrist it shrinks even more as the slightly domed underside is hidden by the slimmer outer case.Strap adjustment is very stiff but gives a secure feeling once the locking mechanism is firmly in place to adjust the band length, the clasp will then attach correctly (it wont if the strap lock is not fully home) and close perfectly with the secure lock applied. I have an older Skagen watch with a mesh band with a similar mechanism that is definitely easier to adjust than this one.The glass is slightly domed so you won't get that nasty flash of reflection from the sun when outside (on those seemingly rare occasions the sun pops out from behind the clouds, fog, heavy rain, snow etc)Accuracy, no idea so as it's too soon to tell. I will update if needed.Initial conclusion, a beautiful light super slim watch however the band takes some effort to adjust.

Attractive design, nice price, super slim - great!
I have been looking for a lightweight watch for everyday use for some time now - my normal go to watch is a Casio W-86-1VQES Men's Digital Resin Strap Watch which is fine for the gym etc but doesn't look great at work. This Skagen design therefore seemed perfect - the design is really attractive and the face itself really needs to be seen to be believed, much like some other reviews have said. It can seem bright blue in daylight but almost two tone royal blue/black in the evening. This for me makes it feel suitable for day and evening use which is great. The strap itself is flexible and easily adjusted (though not 'on the fly' - you will need a flathead screwdriver or similar to tighten or loosen the fit). Additionally, men with small wrists should be aware, that the face itself extends out into the strap, which will hold the face away from your wrist if it isn't wide enough. My only small concern (and hence the 4 star review) is how water resistant the watch is. I realise 'water resistant' is not 'waterproof' but the back says '3 ATM' which implies suitable for swimming. The manual gives guidance and says it "Can withstand splashes of water while washing hands or in the rain" so I'll go by that - ignore the 3 ATM and don't use it swimming or showering!
