i had this identical toilet seat for years and my finance broke it by accident. the local shop where i purchased it no longer had the same item. i then decided to look on line for another similarly attractive seat. i came upon the exact same one at amazon and immediately ordered it. it was shipped immediately and delivered in 2 days, much to my surprise. the seat is just as beautiful and fabulous as the original and less money also!!!! i got my finance a chair for the toilet so he doesn't have to sit on the seat cover while attending to his toiletry needs. he installed it also in no time flat and i feel as if i never lost the last one - identical item. this is not a fragile seat but since my finance is 6 feet 4 inches and heavy, it is understable how the seat cover cracked. i hope my new one lasts another 10 years or more!!! i love it!!! so original and chic.

- Easy to install - Looks great - Not wobbly when you sit - Durable when completely closed (cheaper seats, their lids can collapse because they are too thin and you can't sit on them to pull up your socks or look in the cupboard under the sink etc.) - Easy to clean - Clear all of the way through between the sparkly bits meaning when your children flush they can watch to be sure it all goes down. And it reduces the risk of overflow for the same reason. I tried many different seats and you'd be surprised at how crappy (no pun intended) they can be. Some with metal fittings are poorly made and break the instant you sit down. These seem durable so far--about two weeks. A fine toilet seat. You won't be disappointed.

My mother used to buy Toilet seats by Ginsey. I like them because your bottom doesn’t stick to them because there made of resin unlike the wood toilet seats. I like the different patterns too.

We had found a similar seat at 2nd hand store so was a little put off by the price. But we had to replace the cheap old plastic/ MDF wood covered we use to buy every few years, and they always stain and looked bad. So we figured in the long run this would more than pay for itself. It is super nice looking with metal hinges and stops between the seat and the toilet. It is a heavy duty poly resin and fairly thick so it seems it would last a long time. The one we got 2nd hand(it looked new) lasted around 7 years ( and still looked new and I constantly clean my toilet with natural and bleach products) and had plastic hinges which is what eventually broke, so we think this should last that long or longer. I will update if any problems. We got it the next day which was wonderful as we needed it ASAP, THANKS!

I really like this toilet seat. It was expensive as far as toilet seats go but, worth every penny. I like the look of it. I have not used the silicone spray yet as recommended by the reviews but, I plan to remove the seat and hit it with the silicone spray today! Thank you for the information and I hope this is also helpful. Buy this it is great quality and the best seat I've ever purchased for my bathroom. I've actually purchased two different ones at 50.00 each. This seat was exceptional in the packaging and the ease of installation. Very different from the other although priced the same. The other has more parts to it and more steps to installation. If anything changes, I will provide an update.

I am so happy with this purchase. you can tell this is a well-made. it has real shells and sand. none of the plastic decorations/ this is not a thin breakable toliet seats. I know this will be used for many years. I previously purchased the ones with artificial seaweed and artificial shells, it was a thinner toliet seat. unfortunately it lasted less than 11 months.

Like many others, I was attracted to the clever aesthetics of this toilet seat. Everyone who saw it after installation thought it was "cool." My grandkids loved it. After several months, the seat part simply broke in two! I was using it at the time. I weigh 190 lbs. The seat broke when I shifted my weight slightly to one side. There was no extraordinary stress involved. At first I thought it must have been caused by a manufacturing defect and planned to contact the company for a replacement. Then I read the one-star reviews and was surprised to discover that the overwhelming number of complaints was the same as mine: the seat broke during quite normal use. There was also at least one report of a customer who tried to get customer satisfaction from the company: he was offered only $12 in compensation. That's when I decided that the break was caused by a fundamentally inferior design of the product, and contacting the company for some consumer justice wouldn't be worth the time or effort. Bottom line: if you have at least two bathrooms in your house, you could use one for displaying this lovely-looking seat and reserve the second bathroom's toilet for real use. Otherwise, don't expect this seat to last for long. It's pretty, but buying one would be like throwing your money into the toilet!

Contrary to another review which made me hesitate, when it arrived I was so excited, the unique beauty is totally amazing! I installed it myself easily, just two screws + 2 bolts, but my advice is do not screw it on too tightly, let it have some 'give', it will not move/shift, and don't slam the lid down hard in order to preserve it for a decade +. Mold proof/easy to clean. Just WOW :)
