HOMETRONIX Electronic Steam Iron Press 63 cm 1600 Watt 38 Jet Stream

My old iron broke about a month ago, and I couldn’t decide between this press and a Vaporella. In the end, I went with this one, and I’m glad I did — it has probably halved my ironing time and is getting easier and easier to use as I get used to it. It has different settings for different types of clothes, which I thought would be confusing at first but actually makes ironing quick and straightforward once you get the hang of it. I can’t really comment on the steam function as I’ve barely used it — I tried once and ended up marking clothes (probably my error). A few tips: I’d recommend using deionised water to avoid limescale issues, and you may want a proper stand for the press, as using it on a standard ironing board feels a bit too low for comfort. Also, be very careful with hand placement as the press gets extremely hot and can burn easily. Overall, I would definitely recommend this over a standard iron for household use, especially at this price point — it makes ironing much faster and more efficient.

Works well, Irons the clothes in minutes. Crease free with very little effort. It can iron any fabric clothes and heat level is according to the fabric that you want to iron it. Easy to store and light weight.

This is a simple to use, decent quality item (and significantly cheaper than other brands of the same type of product). Push-button settings for the heat levels with visual readiness indicators. Audible notification when to raise the press (to avoid burning items). Only issue to be aware of (hence 4-star rating), is that the the press only opens to about (and probable just less than) 45-degrees. That means when trying lay and straighten items toward the back of the press, I keep catching my knuckles on the heated press! That said, it’s a design issue that appears to be common to similar items, so whichever brand you choose, it might be worth wearing gloves!

I am really pleased with this product. Its excellent for pressing school trousers. Great for quilt covers too. You need to think about the best way to do the quilt covers, but its made my ironing sessions really easy. Can finish the job in half the time it takes with an iron. Less pressure on my bad shoulder too. Its great

Bought this to replace an older model which gave many years of service. This Steam Iron Press is lighter in weight, easier to move, and has a number of features not available on the older press. Pleased with the iron in use and in real terms cost considerably less than the previous one. Certainly helps make ironing easier and you can sit down whilst using it.

I bought this specifically for sheets and duvet sets (I’m a bit fussy about guest bedding and it has to look just right) because I have problems with my back which makes it hard for me to stand longer than about 10-15 minutes at a time. It did not disappoint, it made a far better job than an iron. The only thing I would say is that trying to fit a duvet cover at the back of the machine to pull it through is very tricky but I got around it by doing them lengthwise. The price was great and it does the job perfectly, was delivered more quickly that stated, I would strongly recommend that you ignore the more expensive machines and buy this instead. It’s just as well made as the ones costing twice the price and does just as good a job if not better!!! It’s also easy to store, has steam buttons on the pull down handle which makes it easy to use. No effort, or pain what’s not to love.

An absolute fantastic product. This saves hours a week on ironing and is so fast and easy to use. Excellent on all types of material from underwear to curtains and bedding.

I haven't used yet so can't give a five star rating, product didn't come with a stand so I'm unable to use as intended. Also the water container was dirty upon opening. Is there a stand for this product?
