Used this for years
My "go to" when I do a 10% water change. I use about 2x the amount recommended - but it goes a long way. I have also used it when I had to do a 50% water change in an emergency situation one time with perfect results. Perfect after inches of rain to restore PH. A 2,000 gallon pond with 20 large goldfish. Choose Web Water Gardens as the supplier for the best service. I have finally allowed the pond to cloud during the summer in lieu of using the Microbe-Lift Algae killer every week like I did in the past summers. I have found this summer the fish eat better and have grown dramatically. My floating island's Creeping Ginny has also grown the best ever for a summer. I think the algae poison was taking a toll on all of them even though I RIGIDLY followed the dosage instructions.. I also quit spending money on their bacteria additive - I don't think it did any good. I do have a filter media system, with a leaf bucket, and a UV light so the water stayed clear enough in the top for me to keep up with the fish during the heat. I just could not see the bottom starting half way down. With the weather now changing from 95F to 75F the water is already clearing up.

You must have this
If you have a koi / goldfish pond, you MUST have this on hand. Not only should you add this when topping off the water level, but it's great to have in an emergency -- you know, when you leave the hose on longer than you anticipated? This can help neutralize the chlorine from the water supply immediately. I always have a gallon on this on hand for emergencies.

Best Water Conditioner for Fish
We’ve tried others over the years, and had lots of health issues with our koi. We’ve been using this for 6-7 years in our koi pond and no issues of any kind.

The Jury is still out
Let me begin with the fact that this has been a most unusual summer in the SE, and the algae in my fish pond is crazy. I have used this product twice this week, there has been a better clarity in the water but far to go until it becomes clear enough to see the bottom of the shallow end. The logs I used were faster acting, I wanted to try this product to decide how I will move forward. I will wait a couple of weeks in order to give it a fair chance.

Great water treament/chloramine reducer--but be sure to use the right ammonia test kit!
So far, my favorite water conditioner, but getting harder to find! I use this in my two ponds and while I go through a lot of it, it has kept my frogs happy and healthy and has gotten rid of the infernal chloramine they treat my tap water with. I just should have read the bottle more closely to realize that typical ammonia test kits (like API) won't work when you use this and your ammonia will read exorbitantly high. You need to get a kit that reads free ammonia.
