The heat function works nicely and the massager is not too rough. It feels great!

Not painful like some when you lean back onto it. It says you can use on the neck also, but I find that a little difficult to find a comfortable position.

I'm definitely on the fence with this one.Ordered this and immediately took it out of the box to use once it arrived.It feels nice, then hurts and then feels nice again!It definitely works out some kinks in my back and neck but does feel uncomfortable at times.It's pretty easy to use and on the plus side you can use it all over your body.Most of my pain is in my lower back and it works wonderfully in that aspect. On my neck - it's a love/hate kind of thing.The heat function works but for me it's barely noticeable.I'm that person that keeps heating blankets and pads on 10 all the time!I really like how the massager rotates clockwise and counterclockwise.This is a great massager and would absolutely make a good gift for someone searching for an item like this!At $46 it's worth every penny as I feel as though it will last for quite some time making it and durable and practical product.

This is the worst neck massager I have ever used. The rotating knobs do not put any pressure on your skin little long massage your muscles. Don’t waste your money. I returned mine the next day.

The massage effect with heating function makes me feel very relaxed, especially on my shoulders and back. 5D kneading massage is simply enjoyable, which relieves my fatigue after working for a long time, and the pain in my legs and feet is also significantly reduced. It's a great relaxation massager!

Hello friends, I selected this shiatsu shoulder and back massager with heat for self massage.A housemate and I tested this out today. This is a massager that is attached to a sling that you manage yourself by placing your forearms into two bands on the sling. The massaging unit is very bulky. It is not at all something that would be comfortable to use against a bed sitting up or lying down. It has very hard knobs that rotate. There's little difference between the available modes. Basically slow and a little bit faster. They were not at all comfortable at the neck but seem to be just fine going down from the neck to the lower back. They are really rough so if you are skinny or bony it's very uncomfortable. You have to go easy, barely pulling it towards your body. It requires a lot of work on your part but not something that somebody can help you with. Once we realized we really couldn't use it as a neck massager (too painful) we started using it on our upper and lower back. With very little pressure in a sitting or standing position, it did in fact cause a very relaxing effect on our bodies. We both felt sleepy from it and relaxed. It does require work on your part in order to get this effect though. Can't just simply lay down or sit back. If somebody has really intense muscle tension in their upper back, I think this would be a really good product. Because it will just kneed right into those tensed up muscles. We both agreed that this would not be a good unit for the elderly. Also is not good for children. It's good for adults who have no one to massage them in their upper and lower back and their muscles need work. The price of the time of this review was 33 bucks. It comes with a wall unit that hooks up to the sling in the massager and it also has the option of hooking it up to a car lighter which we thought was very interesting. We're not sure how effective it would be in a car unless it was used at a rest stop before hitting the road.

I am impressed with this back massager/shoulder kneader for few reasons. First, it actually is a little more compact than I expected it to be. The sides that hang down towards your arms are made of a flexible material so you can fold it up and store it back in the box. The kneading component is very strong and massages pretty well for almost a deep tissue massage. As you pull the sides down, it can get stronger. It also can be moved around your back or lower body and used in different areas for a total body massage. My only complaint is the buttons are up by the shoulder so once it’s on your shoulders, you cannot see what you are pressing without removing it. Just need to make sure you tie your hair up because they can get caught in the massager.
